Pinging you to my post #115
Not to mention twitter - pretty interesting to get the news right from the source.
May God bless and keep you FRiend.

Perry had a record of doing just that. He was my choice.
I have boldly said that I cannot support Romney primarily because when he is praying I do not recognize who he is praying "to." I cannot join in his prayers. His religion denies the Names of God I AM, YHwH, El Shaddai, Creator, Alpha and Omega.
And I have yet to see Obama bend his knees before God. His politics stand against the commandments of God (e.g. pro abortion and gay activism) and would prohibit my support even if he did.
Of course I will support Gingrich against Romney and Obama for political reasons - but I don't know his prayer habits, I don't know if he will lead prayers for our country or to whom he prays. Therefore, I don't know if I can join in his prayers.
But I will join in prayer with you, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, because elections, judicial fiats and enactment and enforcement of laws of men cannot heal this country.
Thank you for your faithful post, sister.
I cannot say that I have read anything about Gingrich’s devotion to Christ. I do know that he claims a conversion and repentance in the Roman Catholic Church.
That is entirely possible. I’ll keep my eyes open. I have listened to one of his “God in America” videos that he produced, and it is a faithful rendering of God’s unique place in the development of this nation. I cannot say, though, that it was about prayer or about Newt Gingrich’s personal religious beliefs. That was not the focus. He did speak, though, as someone with faith.
His background is military chapel, baptist, then catholic. As a product of the military chapel myself — that is where I attended upon salvation, and I guess I consider it still my “home denomination” even though it doesn’t really exist anyplace other than military bases — I know that our experience as protestants or catholics was always not quite what one would have in the civilian world.
I think we learned to rely more on our faith in Christ and less on our denomination as a result, because the full presence of the denomination wasn’t really there to have an impact.
I pray that’s true of Gingrich as well.
Your tin foil hat guy is not a conservative, and he is irrelevant.
Please do not address or reply to me again.
Farewell to the Texas twit. He started his campaign arrogant and condescending and received the beat down he so richly deserved. Good riddance.
Shame on you! Rick Perry is a Southern Gentleman ... and we don’t take kindly to idiot spittlists.
I don't support Paul, I merely asked why your graphic did not include him. He is no more irrelevent than Romney. You don't have to like them but you can't just ignore them.
Please do not address or reply to me again.
In case you forgot you pinged me first. If you are going to be nasty when someone asks you a simple, honest question then don't worry, I won't reply to you again.
Good day to you, Sir.
ok, I apologize.
I didn’t show the tin hatter because he is irrelevant to my point, that conservatives should unite
behind the leading non-Romney, OR else Romney takes ALL SC delegates.
Mentioning the hatter also causes his rabid fans to crawl out of the woodwork and attack
Sorry to inject a scintilla of reality into all the Perry worship, but I guess I don’t have a heart.
Thank you.
Beck is having a fit about Newt right now...He would pick Romney over Newt in a heartbeat!
WORMTONGUE is having a fit about Newt right now...He would pick SAUROMAN over Newt in a heartbeat!
There, I fixed it!
Thank you FRiend! I’m actually bummed that he flamed out the way he did.
Can someone who’s proficient with Photoshop (or similar) please post a pic of “His (former) Rickness’s” face photoshopped on Burt Reynolds body from the movie “Striptease” where Burt’s wearing a cowboy hat and boots and his body is covered with Vaseline?
Thank you very much!
Oh so true, dearest sister in Christ!
What is needed is a spiritual revolution, a "Great Awakening."
America has had two such, in her historical past. The first led to the American Revolution, in the name of Liberty, entailing the rising up of a "rabble" against what was then the greatest political Power on Earth; the second to the abolition of slavery, in the name of Liberty, entailing the bloodiest war in American history before that question could be resolved in the national consensus....
It seems to me that we live at a time when prayer and fasting are far and away more efficacious than "public debate" itself.
And so we raise our prayers to our Lord: May He continue to bless the sovereign people of the United States of America!
I'll keep my eyes open also.
I join in your prayer for our beloved country.
Amen!
I think on the political side we are seeing the destruction of a constitutional republic being replaced by a fascist/socialist state. Watching the debates earlier this week I was struck by Santorum and Romney embracing the idea that the govt should charge different prices for the same services provided (from each according to their ability to each according to their needs). What I'm referring to is Medicare and Social Security. They both have bought into the idea that because someone has done well in life they should pay a higher insurance premium for health coverage that provides the same benefits for everyone.
In the case of Social Security they are arguing that a pension plan should pay less of a return to those that contributed more. Means testing transforms SS into a wealth redistribution system.
Also, the week before we saw Gingrich and Perry attack people who put large sums of money at risk as "vultures" or "unethical". Of course the attack is only directed at Romney, but it's hard to see how it doesn't spill over to all investors. It was nice to see Gingrich back off of this attack, but the willingness to attack free enterprise in order to defeat an opponent is very troubling.
Ron Paul has been the only candidate that seems to clearly understand that what is honestly earned is not the property of the state. Unfortunately he is an isolationist and is not a big supporter of Israel.
What's my point? I think even if we win with Gingrich, Santorum, Paul or even Romney, we lose. We are seeing the decline of our country as a Judeo-Christian light to the world. Without a revival and a desire to seek God's face we are lost.
