Yeah, there’s NOTHING unseemly about a hedge fund co-founder making repeated “campaign contributions” to a guy on the House Banking committee. < /sarcasm>
Corruption is everywhere.
Dang it...
think how much better they would have done if they could manipulate laws that would make those changes, like Congress
And that was the problem right there. If you are going to steal, you have to line the proper pockets for “look the other way” privledges.
So, it’s perfectly legal for congress, just not the “little people”.
Got it!

Bingo. That’s about the definition of cronyism. It makes no difference of the political Party either. IMO the players in both are corrupt. When one gets caught they’ll attempt to use it politically against the other until they get caught too. Repubs voters are not as tolerant of it as Democrats.
There was just an article on Pete Sessions getting VIP loans too from Countrywide just like others. http://www.kansascity.com/2012/01/17/3376133/house-gop-chair-got-discounted.html
Our elected representatives and their spouses should be put under a financial magnifying glass every year. It should be a requirement in honor of representing the people. This behavior becomes cancerous as they get on the bandwagon.
They should also be sent to prison for 10 years minimum at hard labor for any financial discretion whatsoever. I’ve heard that’s about what they do to an average American caught several times smoking a joint.
I’m all for that and as I was saying in another post, there should be a Constitutional amendment DEMANDED by the people that any rep that ignores or infringes on the Constitution must be immediately removed from office and tried for treason! I mean why do they take the oath to “Protect and defend” it then? Is it a joke to them? That BS has GOT to stop!
But they are different.
