Gingrich to HUMAN EVENTS: 'I have a game plan to win after South Carolina'

Should Newt Gingrich turn in a strong showing in the South Carolina primary Saturday and his rivals for the conservative vote drop out of the GOP presidential race, the former House speaker feels confident he can draw a sharp contrast with front-runner Mitt Romney and win their party’s nomination for President this year.

“I have a game plan to win after South Carolina,” said Gingrich, who spoke to HUMAN EVENTS Wednesday morning between campaign stops in the Palmetto State. While freely admitting he is “totally focused on winning South Carolina,” Gingrich echoed the view of Florida campaign chairman Bill McCollum that he can defeat Romney in that state’s primary January 31st.

I’m currently supporting Santorum, but I’m with those Freepers who want to consolidate our support behind the top Conservative vote getter in SC. If that turns out to be Newt, I’m in.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend, and if the left wants to help us destroy Romney, then I welcome their assistance.

The fact is Romney invested in a company that profited from the disposal of aborted babies bodies... calling them “waste”

dispute the facts not the source.

Big “IF” in there re others withdrawing. I can see Perry withdrawing and throwing his support to Newt, not so sure about Santorum.

But, if Newt is far ahead of both Perry and Santorum on Saturday, it’s possible Santorum would withdraw. He just doesn’t have the wherewithal to go on if he doesn’t do well.

So by your own admittance your friends with the left. Enough said. This place used to have normal people on here. For example, if Newt won, although I am certain he would be a piss poor candidate and terrible leader, I would vote for him. All of you who say you would vote for Obama or by abstaining from voting vote for Obama if Romney wins are just m...up in my mind. But it is free country and your free to be NUTS!!!:).

Yeah, sure, welcome aboard faker - you’re (and, yes, that’s how it’s spelled, genius) rather transparent through your phoney indignation. Not even a decent effort: nice try, NOT!

As speaker he had to deal with pro-choice RINOs. Without these creeps Congress would have never flipped. What was he supposed to do, tell them to get out and join the democratic party, or stay republicans. I detest these pro-choice RINOs as much as the next man, but the majority of the RINOs vote with the GOP 95% of the time. Newt Gingrich was right.

At this point I'd give 2 to 1 odds that Newt can pull it off.

And if he does... then more power to him.
