memo to Juan Williams: MLK said in a 1967 speech in Cleveland to HS students, "if your lot is to be a street sweeper, be the best street sweeper ever. Sweep streets the way Michelangelo painted paintings. Sweep streets the way Beethoven composed music." (MLK didn't have any problem with "dead white males," apparently.)

I guess Willyums would be insulted by MLK's vision. He also said, "If you want to be the greatest "Black" physician ever, you have just failed your matriculation exam into the integrated society."

MLK would be pretty disappointed by the pukes who presume to speak for him today.

Juan takes from granted a segregated society, a balkanized society. One of the great problems of Britain before the First World War was the Irish Question. The intensity of that war was such that if the Great War had not occured, there would be have a war in Ireland. Not a small one like the Easter Rebellion, but one like the thing that happened in Northern Ireland over a period of more than 30 years, magnified ten fold. That’s because the English had put up a wall between themselves and the daily lives of the Irish people.
