Juan takes from granted a segregated society, a balkanized society. One of the great problems of Britain before the First World War was the Irish Question. The intensity of that war was such that if the Great War had not occured, there would be have a war in Ireland. Not a small one like the Easter Rebellion, but one like the thing that happened in Northern Ireland over a period of more than 30 years, magnified ten fold. That’s because the English had put up a wall between themselves and the daily lives of the Irish people.

The historical context of MLK was that peaceful integration was becoming the widespread law of the land. This development was killed off when he was assassinated in 1968, giving the Black separatists a bloody shirt to wave in support of their cause.

There is reason yet today to believe that James Earl Ray was a stooge of the Left, hired to destroy the emerging consensus on race that MLK was forging.
