Problem is Texas is a GOP given, Pa isn't.
It would make more strategic sense for it to be Newt/Santorum. I Newt/Perry ticket would be sweet, but probably not politically smart.

You make a good point. Our nominee will need to share the ticket with someone from a voting block found where the nominee is weak, of course. Makes sense every time its tried.

While we’re all fantasizing about the ideal GOP ticket as among the current contenders, I’d go with Newt/Perry. Perry would bring executive experience; otherwise, with Newt/Santorum, you’d have two with only legislative experience.
