This bogus poll only sampled 356 Republicans? I call BS.

Fox push poll.

Actually, except perhaps for Santorum, the real and win-able conservatives believed they had no chance with Sarah. So they waited it out until it was too late.

True. Conservatives have no one else to blame but ourselves. We couldn’t agree on the right person to lead and we couldn’t convince the best people to even run.

We can hate Mitt all we want, but he played his cards well and kept the conservatives split to get what he wanted. Just as we don’t want Ron Paul to go 3rd party I won’t vote 3rd party either. I’ll be stuck with our nominee—the lessor of 2 evils truly does apply this election.

Difference this time is we voted for Bush thinking he was a conservative, so he was able to lead the congress to the left. We know Mitt is no conservative so we will need to push him to the right and encourage our Tea Party congress to keep him to the right.

If Gingrich and Perry would drop out and endorse Santorum, I’d be very happy.

Not as happy as Obama.

While I agree Santorum is a strong social conservative I am much more in favor of a strong fiscal conservative.

It’s uncanny how similar this is to 2008. Establishment “next in line” RINO pick (McCain/Romney) surges after NH despite losing to an upstart social conservative outsider in IA (Huckabee/Santorum). The winner of IA can’t capitalize on momentum because someone who has lots of conservative support is pulling votes away (Gingrich/Thompson) while a libertarian (Paul/Paul) and a persistent candidate who is already done stays in for no discernable reason (Giuliani/Perry).

Ironically, Perry endorsed Giuliani in 2008.

53% oppose Romney Apparently no one in the MSM can do simple math when it comes to this stuff. No one bothers to mention how will Romney unite conservatives. Assuming all these people simply unite in their hatred for Obama is overly simplistic in its logic, because that will not happen.

A second zero term poses the real threat of imminent collapse, violence and a hard tyranny.

I agree completely.

The most astute comment I've read on this forum in months. Thank you.

Where is the undecided vote? I also can’t tell where it says every person polled was a likely primary vote. I hate these pollsters and pundits who are just cheerleading for who they think will buy their ads/PR/get the most ratings/etc.

FOX News polls are notoriously poor. I rather doubt that Mittens is at 40% at this juncture.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the American people.

Shoot, look at right here on Free Republic. You actually have idiots who believe that whole "Romney is a heroic defender of capitalism" line.

“If Gingrich and Perry would drop out and endorse Santorum, I’d be very happy.”

At this point in time, it seems to be the sensible thing to do, especially since Santorum did better than both of them in Iowa and New Hampshire.

ALL the pollsters from Fox to Ras to whoever you want to mention are in the tank for Romney.

Continues to boggle my mind how so many accept each and every poll as Gospel.

THERE ARE NO HONEST POLLSTERS, all who believe any of them are honest, or that there are any trends to pick out of these polls are simply duped, that`s the overwhelming majority of the American people.

Pollsters are picking our candidate, and laughing as they go.

Sarah Palin I believe figured this out, you can not win if the pollsters do not personally like you. They are ALL dishonest, there is no science whatsoever behind them.

Pollsters are driven by their ideology, but once in a while they also just like to change things up for personol kicks, they are able to manufacture opinion at will.

Seems as if only very few of us have caught on
