COMPLETE TITLE

BREAKING: Palin Urges Romney to Release Tax Returns, Provide Proof of 100,000 Jobs Created at Bain Capital

###

Former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has called for Gov. Mitt Romney to release his tax returns, as well as the data that could substantiate his claim of having created 100,000 jobs as CEO of Bain Capital.

Romney has resisted releasing his tax returns, and his campaign has thus far refused to provide the hard proof to back up his claims about Bain.

“Governor Romney has claimed to have created 100,000 jobs at Bain, and people are wanting to know: is there proof?” Palin told Sean Hannity on Fox News.

*snip*

Earlier this week, Big Government pointed out that Romney’s claim to have created 100,000 jobs contrasts with claims he made during his 1994 U.S. Senate campaign, when he claimed to have created 10,000 jobs at Bain. Romney retired from Bain Capital in 1999.

Palin said that Romney needed to come clean about his record, given the likelihood that Democrats would probe the tax issue and Romney’s tenure at Bain if he were to become the Republican nominee.

The former Alaska governor also told Hannity that she did not think it was inevitable that Romney would become the Republican nominee.

All it would take, is for her to come out and say that she has concerns about Romneycare and that she cannot vote for him. He would be about done. I think her voice is powerful.

I like Romney’s reply. He said he would release his tax returns if Obama released his birth certificate and college transcripts.

I beleive you are correct. I wish I could figure her out sometimes, but maybe that is part of her appeal, we can’t figure her out.

Romney has claimed to have created 100,000 jobs at Bain...

Maybe this IS true... he could have wanted to destroy, say, 1,000,000 jobs... but decided, in the end, to only destroy 900,000 jobs. Thus, Romeny SAVED 100,000 Jobs!

Yay...

Why lay his cards down now? If he gets the nomination he can use his records as bargaining chips to get Obama to release his sealed records.

I watched that interview and you have explained it very well. I think she is having reservations to endorse Romney because she knows he is not a conservative. I think her sending Todd out for Newt was not by accident. I am praying that she will help Newt. She did last week when no one else was there for him which tells me a lot. Take care and thanks for sharing your thoughts with me.

I’m a stickler for posting the exact title because

One of Romney’s sons said it and his brother was quick to chime in and say “Dad didn’t say that!”.

And you know, I have been working very hard for Newt as much as I can anyway, and a lot of people I know, who are young, who aren’t dems, aren’t republicans, really aren’t anything, like him very very much, because he is so quirky and so smart, I think. And those people are the ones, who nobody is seeing, and who would make a difference for Newt in the general. I think Sarah knows she has to be careful to not alienate the apolitical people, who seem to like Newt, or the moderates and undecideds he will need.

I saw this remarkable thing on Scarborough’s show, when they were doing their usual prattle against the antiromney ads last week, and Newt came on, did this very reasoned and balanced discourse on why it WAS important to check out romney at bain. He answered their attacks, and just took the wind out of their sails... they were actually stunned and quiet. There are a lot of people who haven’t heard him speak even once yet... I believe he will win them over, if he can just get the opportunity. People are impressed by Newt and depressed by Obama...

Sarah Palin is answering Newt's Gingrich's "Valley Forge" call-to-political arms ...

She KNOWS the GOP E-RINO "Fix" card is being played this week ...

I suspect that Sarah will ENDORSE Newt by the end of the week ...

Film at Eleven ...

Bain owns Huntsman Chemical, the family business. It’s also connected to Goldman Sach.

(And she also said one of the reasons she hasn’t endorsed anyone was because she was very controversial and didn’t want to harm anyone’s candidacy, which made me wonder if Todd’s endorsement of Gingrich was a proxy for her.. I have never thought of Todd as someone who cared about endorsing anyone... I think sarah was sending a message and most people didn’t get it - or I am just looking at it weirdly?)

I think you are reading the Palin messages (both Todd and Sarah) the same way I am.
