Crime rates in the Arab sector are a cause for concern as Ministry of Public Security figures reveal that in 2011 Arabs were involved in 67% of the murder cases and 70% of attempted murder cases.
In efforts to fight the soaring crime rates, Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch will on Sunday present ministers with a perennial plan to improve personal and community security within the Arab sector.
The data also revealed that Arabs were involved in 38% of aggravated assault cases as well as 36% of robbery cases and 52% of arson incidents. Nevertheless, the crime rates referring to the Arab sector have remained at a steady rate for years.
The plan which the Ministry of Public Security began to implement in recent months include civic and law enforcement efforts. Three special policing units, including detective and investigation units in Nazareth, Tayibe and the police station serving the Bedouin communities in the south were established.

Well, in Israel. But I can’t tell if it means Arabs are responsible for most of the murders in Israel, or only in the Arab sector, which is rather to be expected.
You’d have a cow if this was Michigan, wouldn’t you? I think this report is about Israel.

I’m in the middle of a project, writing a long commentary on this...the gist of it is that Islam per se is not the problem, but rather Arab cultural values. If a different culture had midwifed Islam...well, if only.
Prolly is true in Michigan, but since Izlam has colonized and completely taken over the state, there is no way it would ever be reported.
Well, I vehemently disagree about the nature of Islam. Islam is the primary problem, and it fosters nothing but bloodshead and intolerance. Arab culture historically has lent itself to violence, but it’s long been inextricably linked to Islam, so it’s hard to judge Arab culture apart from Islam. Arab Christians can and often do live more wholesome lives than their Islamic neighbors. Islam is the problem.
This is a misleading headline and article. Honor killings and the slaying if infidels is not considered murder by many Muslims, so the statistics are flawed from the start.
I don’t think it’s a very well reported article, but I believe they’re Israeli crime statistics, so I think they take a murder is murder view of murder.
Not too shocking considering the crimes considered in this analysis have been committed in the Arab Sector. What may be surprizing is that 33% of murders in the Arab Sector are being commited by non-Arabs...
I think it’s a total number of murders in Israel, not just the Arab sector. So in other words, 33% of murders in Israel are committed by Jews; 67% are committed by Arabs.
I would have guessed 95% to 100%
Certainly not what is conveyed in the article...
