Russia has given Iran its bear hug and warns Israel and the West that an attack on Tehran would be considered an attack on Moscow. The threat heightens the prospect of World War III in the event of a military strike on Iran.

“Iran is our neighbor,” Russia's outgoing ambassador to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, told reporters in Brussels. “And if Iran is involved in any military action, it’s a direct threat to our security.”

Yes, I’m not sure that the average person in Iran is fanatical as those running the country. I would “speculate” that they would prefer to be more “Western” in their government and not under an Islamic Theocracy.

Though of course, in a nuclear exchange between the two, I can safely say Iran will come out the worse.

Each Iranian citizen will be killed twice, whereas each Israeli will be killed only once.

However the entire land of Israel will become unusable for a while (from months to decades, depending on the weapon.) In Iran only spots around former cities will be contaminated. Iran has a lot of land; most of Iranians, in rural areas, will never even see the nuclear flash. Which means Iran will rebuild (with mullahs being taken care of in the war,) but Israel will disappear from the map, just as the guy promised. Once the Israeli survivors leave (for the USA, Europe, Russia) they will not be too eager to return.

I don't know how Russia will be the Gog and Magog of the Bible with their current troubles. However, the Scriptures make it plain that Gog and Magog will be there and historical records identifies Gog and Magog, those regions around above Turkey, and toss in Iran, Iraq, all the other 'Stans over there, then you have them together. But more importantly, Israel has what is probably the greatest set of layers of ABM defense systems on our planet (all of ours, some of others and some of its own). Iran, having blustered so much about attacking Israel, would probably attack other targets first (see comment #87).

Can’t contradict much of anything you posted there, but, to be fair - he faced 7 years of very hostile attacks from the lunatic left, IMHO he was lucky to survive the second term ...

All GWB had to do was to stand up and defend himself and start swingin', in fact if he had managed to pry open his freakin' piehole and called out 0bama on his questionable Constitutional credentials, pointed out his lack of experience, just generally taken the fight to the 'Rats in '08, we might not be dealing with the Communist regime currently in power right now.
