I still have differences with Rick Perry, but he did well tonight. He didn’t have any gaffes, and no one asked him problematic questions.
We need to work on your passive-aggressive posting style. LoL You sound like the MSM -- every Perry article begins with at least 2 paragraphs recounting his early debates and discounting him before moving on to make some remark about the campaign.
Good point. He wasn't put on the spot like every single other candidate was last night with any tough or critical questions. Probably because, just like when Santorum was at the bottom of the polls, no one was focused on taking him down or asking tough questions since no one was seriously considering him and it just wasn't necessary.
I think it was because that type of forum was in a more conducive for our candidates! It was a bit more relaxing, less formal, less combative, etc... The candidates could take their time and share their views with the people questioning them.
Gov. Huckabee was not giving them ‘gotcha’ questions w/only a few minutes to answer. He was friendly,(being from the same side)respectful, and didn’t bait them against each other! At least it seemed that way as far as I could tell.
He was letting the people w/questions ask, and the candidates had more time to answer. They didn’t have to stand there and argue w/each other! I didn’t get to watch Romney’s set, or Perry’s or Santorum’s, Paul’s. I did catch Huntsman’s and Gingrich’s segments. I think both of them had some impressive answers, actually!
