Ron Paul picked up a major endorsement from an evangelical leader when Dr. James Linzey, president and founder of the Military Bible Association, endorsed the candidate.
Lizney, who served as a military chaplain for over 24 years and retired with an honorable discharge, has hosted Operation Freedom, a television program in Europe. Before founding the Military bible Association, he travelled the world as an evangelist.
In a statement to Congressman Paul declaring his endorsement, Lizney said, Having thoroughly examined your political philosophy and finding that your platform is 100% in line with the Constitution of the United States of America, and examining your political record to find that you have consistently upheld the Constitution and thereby faithfully represented your constituency, and studying your statement of faith to find that your faith and religious experience is 100% compatible with Evangelical Christianity and Orthodox Christianity, I hereby endorse you for the Office of the President of the United States of America. I wish you Godspeed!"
He went on to say that while Texas governor, Rick Perry, was also an evangelical, the deciding factor for his endorsement was fidelity to the Constitution. The tell-tale sign of being qualified for the presidency is not faith, but loyalty to the Constitution which defends the open expression of faith. Ron Paul seems to be the candidate most loyal to the Constitution according to the records.
The endorsement could be a crucial one for Paul going into the South Carolina primary.
Some in the Christian community have taken issue with Paul's refusal to commit to reinstating the militarys ban on homosexuals serving openly.
Lizney says if evangelicals truly want ot make faith an issue in the campaign they should consider Pauls personal testimony on his website where Paul says, Let me be very clear here: I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and I endeavor every day to follow Him in all I do and in every position I advocate."
Lizney said while he would support Romney if he eventually wins the nomination, he believes Paul is the better candidate because, while Romney may be an excellent debater, Paul argues from the standpoint of the Constitution.

On 7 April 2006, former Chaplain (MAJOR) James F. Linzey was awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal for Operation Gulf Coast Relief by the US Army. The award was presented to Dr. Linzey by his mother, Verna M. Linzey, D.D., who is a military advisor for Operation Freedom, with the rank of Admiral, and author of The Baptism with the Holy Spirit and Spirit Baptism. She, along with her son, Jim, is also the editor of Baptism in the Holy Spirit by Stanford E. Linzey, Jr.
As a military chaplain, Rev. Linzey deployed to New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina four days after meeting President George W. Bush. He met the former president at Naval Base Coronado on August 28, 2005 at the 60th Anniversary of the Japanese Surrender in World War II. President Bush was the keynote speaker, and Rev. Linzeys father, Chaplain Stanford E. Linzey, Jr., CHC, USN (Ret.), who was a World War II veteran and survivor of the USS Yorktown, gave the invocation behind the Seal of the President of the United States of America.
As one of the longest serving chaplains during Operation Gulf Coast Relief in the City of New Orleans, Rev. Linzey ministered to civilians at 4 Food Distribution Centers; ministered to local residents in their homes and doorsteps; conducted 68 Field Worship Services for Army and Air Force personnel; conducted 9 Critical Incident Stress Debriefs; provided ministry of presence at about 150 sites; ministered at the Police Department of the second ward, FEMA Headquarters of New Orleans, the New Orleans Convention Center, Command and Staff Meetings for Multi-Agency/Military Relief Agencies; provided pastoral support for over 450 military personnel and numerous New Orleans police officers and Fire Department personnel. Rev. Linzey was on CBS, NBC, ABC, and CNN while on the mission in New Orleans.

Is Ron Paul just words on a screen, not a real person? How about the sources you trust. Are they not just words on a screen?
You say you cannot get a read on his motivation because you have no idea what his thought process is. "The American Journal of Political Science found Ron Paul scored the most conservative of all 3,320 members of Congress from 1937 to 2002." Those are just words on a screen, but somehow Ron Paul has our Country's downfall as a goal. Somehow he would substantively alter the meaning and intent of our Constitution as we practice it within our borders and exercise our Constitutional prerogatives in the world.
If you can provide substantive facts pointing to Ron Paul as a tool of Communists, Socialists, and others who are opposed to the ideals of our founding fathers, by all means, I'll read. So far all I see is a concurrence of logistics and a huge disparity in principle.
Meanwhile my inclination is to believe lemmings and parrots do not by default have our country's best interests at heart. Why should I not consider you a hybrid?
What does that have to do with Ron Paul going on the propaganda arms of mass-murdering totalitarian regimes and giving them aid and comfort?
Not a damn thing.
A real person is someone I know, who I can vouch for. So no, Ron Paul wouldn't qualify. His views are facades on a sound stage. There's absolutely nothing behind them.
No you haven't, because I don't. Conspiracies, defined as two or more persons conspiring (to deceive, in this context), are a part of life. The term "conspiracy theorist" is a meaningless, dismissive catch-all used to brand anyone who questions that which the masses are supposed to blindly accept. That's why I never use it.
I do mock conspiracy-minded Prison Planeteers who believe Ron Paul and Alex Jones are the only men on earth who are immune to the pernicious influences that are consuming our world. Not only are they not immune, they're in on the joke/lie.
Champions of freedom and liberty don't give aid and comfort to mass murdering totalitarians. They just don't. The more Ron and Alex talk, the more apparent it becomes that they're in the pockets of the Iranians and Russians who are joined at the hip in their quest to bring about global catastrophe. The Russians want their empire back. The Iranians want their Mahdi. Ron and Alex want their 30 pieces of precious metal. It's as plain as the nose on your face. All you need is a willingness to see the evidence that's right in front of you.
Sorry about your Saints. I was pulling for them yesterday. Brutal loss. So much for the lost art of defense in the NFL.
A shallow definition; one having much to do with mass-murdering totalitarian regimes.
