As tensions with Iran escalate on several fronts, most Americans favor military force to stop Tehran from building nuclear weapons if diplomacy fails, a new IBD/TIPP poll shows.
That comes as the Obama ad ministration claims that Iran isn't yet building a bomb and urged the continuation of a "responsible" policy of economic pressure.

Nukes or not,
I just think Iran needs a serious ass whoopin.
When persons reply to the question yes, the following question should be asked;
Which member of your family are you willing to sacrifice for this war ?
Why are they still doing polls on what Americans think?! This administration doesn’t care what we think.
big time. The best thing we could do is put the Iranian military on par with the Iraqi military. Fly in and knock out their air defenses, their C3I, their Navy, their airforce, their armor, and their artillery pieces. Just decimate their military. While all this chaos is going on, we could get up close and personal with those nuke facilities and TCB once and for all. I would love to see ahmedinijihad crying about the big bad bullies at the UN.
I’ll sacrifice my mother in law if it will make you feel better.
Gah, more hippy talk on FR. I'd go myself, if the Army would have me.
I’ve got a couple honorable discharges hanging on my wall.
I’ve got friends in Arlington and other places because people are willing to send others to fight their causes for them.
When you’ve formally served our country in some form, please get back to me.
Your opinion is in the minority, at any rate.
An air war will not take out the Iranian nuke program. Both our intelligence and Israel intelligence says troops on the ground to do that. So we will have invade and conqueror Iran.
Blow back from the rest of Islam will be intense and could topple the few remaining US friendly nations in the middle east so we will need a plan to deal with that. Losing the house of Saud could mean losing oil priced in dollars. Losing oil priced in dollars will collapse the American economy.
We should expect Russia and China to push back and push back hard since Iran is a client state of theirs
There are probably other concerns but these immediately come to mind. I hope careful consideration is given before any action is taken. And if action is to be taken the America people are fully informed of just how dangerous this course of action is. Of course doing nothing has it own dangers.
As long as we go in with our eyes wide open I am OK with it.
“Hey, we might blow up the whole freakin’ world; but what the hey, let’s give it a shot.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

Iran needs the application of the world’s first Islamicide - nuclear carpet bombing of every possible Iranian nuclear facility site.
I sure wouldn’t lose a moments sleep if that were to happen.
Things ok in Jersey there ZULU, Winter arrive yet?
It's an election year.
Question is how many would still back such action —if they knew it would be handled like OUR government has handled every war since WWII? Oh es verdad it is no longer the US Military pulling the freakin strings it is the bloody freakin United Nations-and their Security Council we report every act planned for UN approval to.IT is No longer the security of the United States that matters to our OWN supposed elected Officials but the global masters of the Universe. Marines pissing on dead Afghans says much more about Our Government and its handling of foreign entanglements than it says about our Marines or their training/or character.
Unduly warm and blessfully no snow yet after last October’s evil early storm.
How are things with you?
Things are fine here,
just stocking up on popcorn and beer getting ready to watch the election season.
Love to see an awful lot of old time politicos get the boot.
Love to see an awful lot of old time politicos get the boot.
Every incumbent - almost - should be flushed out of office.
Flushed - the proper term.
Am betting. . .just around late October, 2012. . .
