“PS. WTF about Perry. I can’t believe he can’t catch on in SC.”

Especially since he skipped New Hampshire and went straight to South Carolina to campaign while the others were still in New Hampshire. Anyways GO NEWT!

Sure does. Mitt dropping to 23 opens the gate.

BTW - Why wouldn't this make a killer ad?

Mitt Romney vows to abolish Obama Care. Why? Because, he says, it should be done a state level. That's slick. Remember, the pride and joy of his term as Governor was signing RomneyCare into law as his Comrades looked on - and a happy time was had by all.

You want ObamaCare? Vote Mitt

Santorum is already fading, he’s going nowhere in the South.

Gingrich will siphon enough of Santis supporters and undecideds to win a close one in SC and then he will route Romney in Florida, which is a closed primary.

Romney is dead meat, he’ll get Establishment hacks, but most will vote conservative...and they will adjust to having too many conservatives election a RINO Yankee.

“It is not a poll it is a survey and it was posted yesterday,”

“Yesterday” -— meaning before midnight?

Mods pulled it because they did not consider it breaking news. (See post #1 for mod reason)

One could argue it’s not breaking news, but it certainly is NEWS.

“we need a bomb thrower”

Obama is seeking to spend a billion dollars trashing whoever is the nominee.

Romney fits super rich, fat cat stereotype perfectly. He even made his money off of the “evil” Wall Street. It doesn’t matter how wrong this idea is. It is a narrative that will stick.

Who is best suited to endure the fire storm of media attacks?

We need a candidate that just doesn’t resemble our friends and family — a nice guy who did some good in the Senate. We need someone with thick skin, able to take the heat and give it back. Someone they can’t say is dumb. Someone they can’t say is inexperienced. Someone who isn’t worth 190 million dollars and has four super mansions.

If not Newt, who?

Gingrich is the only one who has the cajones and savvy to stand up to Romney.

He can and will beat Romney in SC and in Florida.

All I know is I’d hate to turn on the tv on Sat the 21st at around 9PM or so and see Romney 31 Newt 26 Santorum 24 Perry 6(or some variation thereof where Romney wins with between 30-35%)and the other 3 total 50% or more.

And there’s a good chance of that happening.

I’d suggest to wait until a few days before the primary and if the polls show either Newt or Snatorum with the clear best chance to win, the other 2(Perry included) both drop out and endorse him and basically ensure he wins. The winner would have great momentum going into FL and would finally have the 1 on 1 against Romney.

The winner could promise the other guy a cabinet spot at the least and possibly VP. Foreign Policy seems to be a big thing for Santorum. Maybe Newt’s secretary of state. Or vice versa.

But I don’t know if all three of them running helps. I think we need to have one clear alternative.

We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by television, blog, and debate, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of American politics. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all lies, victory, however long and hard the road may be.

Go Newt!!

If Romney’s down to 23, then we can push him down even more, like the recent poll in NC, with him in third.

25-24-20-14

would really drive the point home. If he were still at 31, I would agree with you. But 23 is a different story.

I think we can get both of them up over Romney in SC the way the wind is blowing.

It was posted yesterday, it is the day of the internet, you can change the date stamp on anything, and probably can reproduce the font of an oliver typewriter now. It is still old news. not a poll, and no surge except in your own mind.

At this point Santorum is playing spoiler, and as long as he is in the race, Romney will be the nominee.

There are people on the right who are saying that if you challenge Mitt, you are supporting Obama’s reelection. Sad
