AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Not funny.

It’s like I always sometimes say. Dictatorships prove that people need to choose their own leaders. Democracies prove that people are too stupid to choose good leaders.

Thanks for that word of encouragement. ;-)

Right now I feel more like, “Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right.”

"Huge Palin supporter, here, but I will never, and I do mean with every fiber of soul, never support Ron Paul. His foreign policy is neither something I can accept, nor abide by."

Me neither. Palin was talking about not ignoring "his supporters". She doesn't support him personally.

Romney gave a good winners speech yesterday. But then, any of them would have given a good speech if they had won.

But, to veer off a little, a case has come before the USSC that has some of the Justices angry and appalled. It is the one where the EPA threatened property owners with catastrophic fines without letting them go to court before the fines were assessed.

Does anyone believe that most of the candidates for President will seriously do anything about rogue agencies like the EPA? Republicans and Democrats alike are guilty of letting this agency abuse and terrorize citizens with little or no oversight.

I simply don't believe that any of them will be able to bring an abusive governmental bureaucracy under control, nor will they make any serious effort to do so.

Dittos. If we wanted a candidate who blames America for everything, we would just stick with Obama.

Hope he clarifies his “Newt” comments a bit today. It seems like everyone had a different take on what he said yesterday.

Don't hold your breath. Stubborn pride to the point of deafness/blindess is Rush's Achilles Heel.

Ronald Reagan wouldn't have been thrilled with the messed up manner in which Gingrich tried to expose Romney's lack of business ethics, though we all need to remember how Reagan felt about Romney's father: he considered him a destructive moderate to be kept far away from the halls of power in the GOP.

But I think Reagan would have given Rush a good swift kick in the ass for the aid he gave Romney and the damage he did to Newt yesterday.

Newt blew it, but Rush blew it ten times worse.

And Rush will never, ever allow himself to perceive it. He's humble before God, and I admire him for that -- but after nearly 20 years of listening to and admiring Rush, it's nonetheless obvious that Rush is incapable of being rightly humbled before mere mortals.

It’s not fair that some people have no say on who they want to be the next President. Romney it is I guess.

Ok. I’m an LSU fan, but this from my brother made me laugh:

Hey bro...Channel 9 has been reporting that the LSU Tigers are stuck in New Orleans. Someone painted a 50 yard line on I-10 and the Tigers don’t know how to cross it!!

I don’t know why we let the GOP establishment manipulate a RINO into the nomination against the base’s will, every single time with the exception of Reagan. We need to mount a serious revolt about the structure of the primary process.

Honestly? Yes, I think Gingrich would, because Gingrich -- for all his flaws -- gets the Constitution, Gingrich is capable of saying "I blew it, I made a mistake" (as in Global Warming hooey), and as someone else pointed out on another thread, Gingrich certainly did more to actually advance and implement the Reagan revolution than any other candidate in the race.

Reagan said that if the candidate agrees with you 75 or 80 percent of the time, go for it. I don't even see Romney at 5 percent, so he flunks that test with a capital F; Romney has never admitted he was wrong about anything, he has a PROVEN TRACK RECORD of advanding government at every turn, and with it advancing an amoral liberal social agenda.

Gingrich -- he passes, maybe with a C-, but he passes, and he's got a PROVEN TRACK RECORD of advancing things that seriously helped make a better America in the vision of Reagan.

Good grief -- if ever the old saying "Don't let the perfect make an enemy of the good" made sense, it's now.

I agree with Rush. I believe Rush was dead-on target in describing the Ron Paul supporters. Young idealists who are first-time voters, in favour of drug legalisation, demanding of yet more "gay" rights and provding no support to the military.

I feel defeated again! A change is a must but it won’t happen for a long time. We can hope he picks a good VP and has the guts to rip Barry to shreds.

Sarah Palin isn’t endorsing Ron Paul. She’s lending support to his fiscal policies and those Paul supporters who subscribe to them.

Back and forth at an office birthday party. I baked the cake, made red velvet truffles and oreo truffles, so I have to miss a lot of rush running back and forth. :( Not getting to enjoy the thread or trolls (or lackthereof).
