To be fair, I believe that if you are a black person in the US, our general culture forces you to be aware of your color, while a white person can live most of his life without thinking about it hardly at all.
The mere existence of things like BET, Negro College Fund, NAACP, Black Caucus, etc. tend to do that to you. They are all race centric.
If we had white equivalents, I think whites would, just as blacks do today, be more aware of their skin color, as opposed to just their species.
I agree.
I teach boxing and used to do it and now my son fights.
We went to a black college last year and the racism towards us was sickening , even the guys from our gym whom were black were disgusted.
Black kids are taught from an early age off the left that they were used as slaves, they and their rights taken away etc etc.
After talking to a few of these black kids at the gym and after hearing what they are told then I too would be angry if I were black.
Was it not cloward and piven who wanted to keep blacks angry so they could use them in their protests?
When I hear the code words like diversity , comments like “there is not a lot of diversity here”
I say right away “why do you persist in colour, why do you have to notice colour, can you not just look at people as people?”
Or”I had not noticed I only look at people as people not by their colour”
So true. Most black people tend to view things in terms of race because that’s what gets ingrained to them from their own ‘community’. Compound that with their ‘white enablers’ (their ‘Plantation owners’, white Democrat politicians), and you have molded a very captive, indoctrinated, and subservient class of voters unable to move off the Liberal-racist-thinking plantation.
I think this thought is a bit ingenuous. White people are constantly exposed to derisive commercials, affirmative action hires, derogatory characters in movies and television that portray the white male (and occasional female) as bumbling, clueless, doughy lumps of ignorant humanity. Conversely, white people get to view in the information and entertainment media an unending stream of wise, athletic, rational and fashion-sensible black folk who tolerate the insensitive, foolish white folk as if they were mentally challenged children.
As a result, I am constantly aware that my whiteness is a hindrance in almost any social or economic setting that involves people of color.
Man, you are so twentieth century.
