Heh. These Rick Perry jokes practically write themselves. Perry became an afterthought in the presidential race months ago. Ordinarily I'd say it's a waste of time to kick a man when he's down, but his fans here on FR remain oblivious to the fact that "The Rent Is 2 DAMN High party" probably has a better shot at getting elected President than Perry at this point. One of his fans on this thread even said Perry's 0.7% vote total in N.H. is a GOOD sign. Ah, the power of self-delusion.
@ Cato in PA and @ rwfromkansas — I don't agree with you regarding a need for people to drop out, now that the race is down to three serious candidates, Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum. All appeal to significantly different parts of the Republican Party. Also, now that Romney has been defeated in South Carolina, I don't see a problem with what is essentially now a three-person race. Ron Paul has made clear he won't drop out, but he's running to get delegates to the convention to press for libertarian views, not to win the presidency.
