Sarah Palins husband is endorsing Newt Gingrich for president, Todd Palin told ABC News today.
But Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and John McCains 2008 Republican running mate, has yet to decide who is best able to go up against Barack Obama, Todd Palin said.
Palin said he has not spoken to Gingrich or anyone from the former House speakers campaign. But he said he respects Gingrich for what he went through in the 1990s and compared that scrutiny in public life to what Sarah Palin went through during her run for the vice presidency.

Well if that isn’t telegraphy, I don’t know what is!!
Woo Hoo! Wonder who’s next?
so
Just from the excerpts of the article, it does not exactly sound like he’s endorsing Newt. Just that he singled him out for some extra laudatory praise. That’s not an endorsement.
Awesome!
“so”
Exactly. IF Sarah endorses Newt, will that help him or harm him?
I’m personally waiting on the coveted Bristol Palin endorsement. That should tip the scale. :)
Todd? Who cares? ; )
I want SARAHCUUUUUUUDA’s enthusiastic endorsement and vote. Btw, Sarah actually VOTED for Huck in her primary before accepting McLames number two in 2008..
But McLame (33%) hijacked our nomination from Huck (30%) & Thompson (15%) - the prohibitive favs among conservatives in SC, the decider state.
And now Willard (30%) is scheming to do the same versus Newt (A STRONG 23% WHO NEEDS HELP..CMON SARAH!), Santorum (19%), and Perry (5%) - the evangelical three favs by far and away combined over Willard.
Sarah should endorse the strongest Evangelical/Christian/Conservative candidate just as she VOTED for our strongest one in 2008...
IN 2012: Thats Newt!!!
Good for him. I like people who can pick someone and say why they picked. Whether I agree with them or not.
We got a complete neo-phyte as a President now with no credible experience. So looking at the pool of candidates, Newt leads the pack in terms of experience in the federal sector...now...what I am not sure of...is that a good or a bad thing :)
Todd is his own man, and for him to come out for Newt shows that he has the courage to support conservative candidates.
Newt is the only one who can take on Obama.
Rush just said that Newt called Rush to tell him that Todd was going to endorse him. then Rush went to Drudge and there it was.
Rush is talking about this right this second. Todd told newt it was because he was a populist reformer.
LLS
Exactly. In 2010, Sarah Palin endorsed someone I opposed in the congressional race. I shrugged and went on to elect my guy instead.
Smart way to do this, it is the Palin endorsement, and then when the time is right, Sarah herself can do the big, public, ‘build the momentum’ formal endorsement.
Endorsement? ABC seems to be putting words in Todd’s mouth.
Sarah should endorse the strongest Evangelical/Christian/Conservative candidate just as she VOTED for our strongest one in 2008...

Delusional Newbie Alert.
Both Palins endorsing anyone may help perhaps in South Carolina which is now crucial for our non-Romney to surge, but will matter not at all elsewhere, as the primary moves out ot the South.
As to Sarah’s endorsement and Todd’s, I can not imagine who cares either, however something that doesn’t matter doesn’t hurt.
