ABC News ^

Sarah Palins husband is endorsing Newt Gingrich for president, Todd Palin told ABC News today.
But Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and John McCains 2008 Republican running mate, has yet to decide who is best able to go up against Barack Obama, Todd Palin said.
Palin said he has not spoken to Gingrich or anyone from the former House speakers campaign. But he said he respects Gingrich for what he went through in the 1990s and compared that scrutiny in public life to what Sarah Palin went through during her run for the vice presidency.

EZ. The problem is that you base your support on looks and hopes that you will find a husband. That is not a good way to live life.
You should only be looking at the experience of the person in politics. Now if you explain to me what political experience that Todd has then I will reconsider my support.

Sarah is obviously not backing him.False. There is no evidence to support this postulate, it is your supposition.

First sentence of the article:
"Sarah Palins husband is endorsing Newt Gingrich for president, Todd Palin told ABC News today." I'm listening to Hannity live on the radio right now and Newt is on with him. Newt just said, quote, "Todd Palin called me a few minutes ago and told me he is endorsing me."

WTF is this? Does anyone know or care who Nikki Haleys husband endorsed? Is this a finger in the wind experiment? I dont get it.

"Without having a transcript of his comments, it is clear that neither of of knows whether he actually endorsed Newt or not, but ABC says he did."
Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!!!!! Oh, and I don't trust ABC reporters a lick!!! So, this is basically a non story that many people on this thread are getting all worked up over.
To: editor-surveyor
This signals the intent of both Palins, Todd is not a hostile force to Governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Why do you keep claiming such a weird thing, what is your compulsion?

Please refer us to the transcript of Palin’s comments that you used to reach this conclusion.

Now if you explain to me what political experience that Todd has then I will reconsider my support.Your support is of no concern to me. But the truth is. You said this was embarrasing for Newt and I rebutted you by pointing out that he called the biggest radio show in the country to announce it. This is hardly consistent with embarrassment. I'll let the others judge.

Sorry it is not my job to do the meaningless research to disprove some tedious fellows silly, unimportant internet nonsense.
Have fun with whatever it is is going on in your head in regards to the Palins backing Gingrich, I see it, and recognize it as the support that it is

I disagree. Based on the evidence I have, I think it is more likely that he actually did endorse him, and ABC did not print the actual quote, but tried to water it down with a qualifying statement about “all the candidates.” Still we don’t really know, do we, until the transcript is found.

Translation. I can't back up my own accusations. The difference between you and I. I know that what I say is unimportant in the great scheme of things. You obviously think your opinion is important. Goodbye.
To: RichInOC
Palin’s full remarks are not printed in the article.

No, petty nonsense does not call for using up time, keep pretending the Palins are not signaling support if that is your need and compulsion.
If you post proof for your claim then I will look at it.

" Still we dont really know, do we, until the transcript is found."
That was actually my point in my original post of which some people have lauded my reading the article. And some people have attacked me. You may be right and he did say he supported him. It's just that I distrust ABC news in general and need to see sufficient evidence before I believe one of their breaking stories.
This article also points out how manipulative the news media can be. They make a declarative statement in the beginning of the article without ever actually backing it up with proof contained within the article. Even many on here, the supposedly astute politicos got snookered by the headline without demanding further proof before believing it.
