A White House Alice in Wonderland costume ball put on by Johnny Depp and Hollywood director Tim Burton proved to be a Mad-as-a-Hatter idea that was never made public for fear of a political backlash during hard economic times, according to a new tell-all.
...It was so over the top that Star Wars creator George Lucas sent the original Chewbacca to mingle with invited guests.
...the State Dining Room had also been transformed into a secretive White House Wonderland.
...Fruit punch was served in blood vials at the bar. Burtons own Mad Hatter, the actor Johnny Depp, presided over the scene in full costume, standing up on a table to welcome everyone in character.
The Obamas daughters, Malia and Sasha, then 11 and 8 respectively, sat at the table, surrounded by a gaggle of their friends, and then proceeded to the next delight, a magic show in the East Room.

DHS needs to go get those little girls out of there. obama and his woman are not fit to be parents.
Without some sort of intervention those two little girls will turn out to be even less lady like than Chelsea Clinton.
Just amazing how all these hollywierd one percenters have no problem going to the white house to party on the taxpayer dime. They could have fed a city of homeless folks on what they blew. Filthy sub animal hypocrites.
The Post doesn’t mention that this is offensive to Christians. Part of the reason for the secrecy? An occult festival for our military families, complete with magic show.
Chewbacca and alice in wonderland are offensive to Christians? Hmmm, no one told me about this.
Please don’t lose sight of the REAL problems involved with this, instead of focusing on the fake ones.
A party representing huge corporations, profits and wages.....hmmmmm?
This is a real problem to many people, and certainly to many on Free Republic. Many Christians don’t celebrate Halloween for religious reasons. Why is the money issue real and not this one?
Besides, what I said was it could have been another reason for the secrecy. That makes it a valid point even if you think Christians are nuts.
Our ever vigilant old media, bought and paid-for by the Democrat party.
What? Attack their "Dearest Leader?" Stop thinking and just follow the people's poster!
. .
Looks kinda lame to me. At least the obama kids look happy for once...’Shelley too.
But I have to ask, was Depp speedballing or no?
