Would he veto a repeal of the repeal of DADT?

He stated that he felt Obamacare and Romneycare were different, because one was made by a state and one made for all the states. He said he would repeal parts of Obamacare.

What Federal anti gun law can he rescind?

What abortion laws will he not rescind? Would he veto a bill that pulled funding from PP?

Thank you. I understand your sentiments. I may do a write-in for President in that case.

I would be torn if Romney were the Republican nominee. He may be nominally better than Obama: I don’t know. But at some point in time we’ve got to take a stand with the party. They stack the deck to get their “moderates” nominated by manipulating the primary schedules and by cozying with the MSM to pump up their guy.

They feel comfortable that conservatives will vote the party line. After all, where would they go? It’s like the battered wife syndrome.

Personally, I’ve given up on the nomination process. My state is irrelevant: the nominee is chosen by the time they allow us to participate. And the party removes a state’s delegates if they DARE try to move themselves into a position of relevancy.

I worked for years in the GOP (in another state) and I found more backstabbing and slander from within the party than I ever saw when I was dealing with the opposition. I invariably came away from party meetings feeling the need for a bath.

It doesn’t matter. There are plenty of Democrats waiting to fill your vote.

Voting against a greater evil doesn’t cut it. The GOP needs a candidate worth voting FOR!

They haven't had one of those since Reagan.

I won’t sit out and I won’t take chances. I will vote 3rd party and I will leave the GOP.

It is time for a revolution. NO MORE RINOS.

But if you want to play into the dems and Romney’s hand go ahead. You are exactly what Romney is betting on.

I prefer Newt.
Not Romney.
However, I will vote for the Repunlican nominee, whoever it is.
You will not, therefore assisting in Obama winning President for another 4 years.
Your threats do not work for me.
Obama winning will be a disaster for this country, which you want because you think civil war will be the result. Oh, how fun!

He won’t because he agrees with them!!!

The guy is a lying scumbag (that is proveable), what makes you think he isn’t lying now?

Yes, Romney will veto a repeal of the repeal of DADT. DUH.

Romney won’t repeal Obamacare because it is based on Romneycare.

Romney will support anti-gun legislation because he doesn’t believe in the 2nd amendment.

Romney supports PP, so he will support funding it.

How can you not see Romney is just lying to get what he wants!?

JR can see Romney is lying, most of the rest of us can, why can’t you? Why do you believe a single word that comes out of Romney’s mouth?!

Sorry, Mrs. Reaganaut...:)

Abortion: Seems to have had the same type of position as Reagan

Guns: You forget that President Reagan supported the Brady Bill and the Assault Weapons Ban - just like Mitt. Not to mention signing the 1986 bill that banned automatic weapons. Looking at Mitt's positions - they don't seem that different. I think you forget the real positions of Reagan...

Obamacare: Mitt is on the record as wanting to repeal Obamacare.

Gay marriage: So pushing for a Federal law recognizing marriage as one man and one woman means gay marriage supporter?

Gays in the military: He supports don't ask, don't tell. The same policy as President Reagan.

Antithesis? So how would he be different than a President who gave us amnesty, who increased taxes, who exploded the Federal budget, who compromised with Tip O'Neill and Scoop Jackson, who gave us Sandra Day O'Connor?

I think you need to just go look at the candidate himself rather than listen to the mob here, and go and re-evaluate who President Reagan was.

Is Mitt my guy? Nope - I was for Cain, and now am leaning to Perry. But Mitt is MILES away from Obama, and really not all that different in most positions than Reagan if you look at it critically.

Yeah, whatever, just remember what you said when President Obama II begins issuing his Executive orders and edicts. He has already shown his complete contempt for the Constitution and Congress has proven its inability and unwillingness to stand firm against his dictatorial actions.

You think it's going to be as good in a second Obama term? You doubt that, should Obama win reelection, there will be a concerted attempt to have him for a third, fourth and fifth term? Perhaps dispense with elections completely?

Uhh . . . yeah, Obama, Romney, six of one, half-dozen of the other. /ROLLEYES

"For me it means I’m not stupid enough to buy into the end of the world rhetoric and scare tactics."

Right, because Barack Obama has already proven how much respect he has for the Constitution and the limits on his powers. He didn't really just violate the Constitution both in spirit and letter. He wouldn't dare appoint a justice to the SCOTUS without congressional approval, just look at how strong and immediate reaction was from his appointments in January. /rolleyes

I was born into mormonism, escaped from it, I could justifiably say my life has forever been altered by it for the negative. If the only choice is between Romney and a Marxist, I did not set up the contest. Down with Romney.

Hmmm... Mr. Reaganaut, on what Presidential issue do President Reagan and Mitt Romney hold opposite views?

It is obvious that their views were incredibly at odds, Mitt Romney left the Republican party because of President Reagan's conservatism, in the late 1980s, Mitt started supporting and even fund raising for Democrat candidates.

I can’t believe that you are going to make us wade through all this Romney/Reagan nonsense again.

To turn the pro-life Reagan into the dedicated, passionate, almost abortion fanatic, Mitt Romney, you link us to Mitt Romney ‘On the Issues’?
