Take the Scarlett O'Hara pledge.
If Civil War comes let it be on us and not our children.
Republicans controlled the Senate when Sotomayor was confirmed with 25 Republican votes. 5 Republican senators voted to confirm Kagan. Ginsburg was confirmed 96-3.
I forgot to add something to my previous post. 25 Republicans voted for Sotomayor for Appeals Court. Nine Republican Senators voted for her for Supreme Court.
60% of the country, when asked, considers themselves conservative. Quit acting like a scared little girl, Get a GRIP!!!!!!! Politics is war without the bullets.
It is disturbing to have read so many replies here that say they will vote for Romney “if he is the nominee”.
I say to them - you are indeed supporting Romney. You are supporting him NOW. Don’t give me that spineless scaredy-cat “but anything is better than Obama” baloney either. Grow a set already!
What you “Any Republican but Obama” people are doing is giving the GOP elites notice that you are “useful idiots” and that there are no consequences to the Republican party’s foolish insistence that it it is “Romney’s turn”.
It is time to educate those Republican party leaders that they do not own the Conservative vote the way the Democrat party owns the black vote. It is time to put the Republican party on notice that we are NOT on their plantation!
I have said it before, and GOP listen up because I am not by any means alone on this: I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR MITT ROMNEY FOR ANY OFFICE ON ANY TICKET UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. GOT IT?
Those of you who say you will “vote Romney because he is not Obama” are being used, manipulated and fooled. And YOU will be responsible for him being nominated and YOU will be responsible for the results.
Conservatives need to look at doing what Ross Perot did. If it does not materialize, and we are into August and the choice is Myth or Obama, I will likely tell people that we have no choice but to support Myth. The point is, I do not want to be put into that position of such a horrible choice. The people need to take back the primary process, and not let the MSM and Republican establishment tell us who our candidates are allowed to be. If the establishment is too powerful to overcome, then we need our own organization, and our own establishment.
No.
I was answer for Mr. Naut. I also asked what policies Mitt would implement that he doesnt like and what current policies that he likes that Mitt would not reverse.
There is a contingent here, however, that sees Mormon goblins all over the place.
Republicans, when they find themselves with a majority in congress, only act like Republicans when the President is a Democrat. Put a Romney in there and it is Progressive City.
You cant bring facts into an emotional argument.
40% did. 40 said moderate, and 20 liberal.
Believe me, if Obama is booted out, I’ll happily take responsibility for the results—even if Romney is in the White House.
Agree, and I believe that a well funded conservative party could win, with the kind of groundswell that the Tea Party had in 2009 and 2010. Our group needs to rise up again against the elites telling us that we either vote for a marxist or a liberal progressive who gets us to marxism, only slower. The time for accepting what has been done by the marxists, and seeking only to slow it down, is over. It is time to undo the damage that has been done, to restore the republic. If we lose that battle, America is lost.
We are the abolitionists of our time. We have decided that slavery is wrong, and want that system destroyed, no compromise possible. Socialism IS slavery. Kill it.
Scaredy cat?
No, realist.
I have no control over Iowa and New Hampshire.I live in WA state- a Democrat state. Hopefully, we may get a Republican governor next election.
If the conservatives cannot find a candidate that is electable, and receives support- then we will always get RINOs.
No one in Iowa or New Hampshire is getting their arm twisted in the primaries- they are voting for who they want to win.
The only way to exert power is to stay in the party and control the candidates to the conservative view.
Spinning off on to your own party, when you could not get the average Iowa caucus voter to vote conservative , will only get you around 10-15% of the vote- then ensuring Democrat control for years to come.
If conservatives want more control, they have to take a more active part in the primary system.
You are an Obama lover and will help give us 4 more years of disaster.
I've got it, and I think there aremillions like you. For that reason, the elites have it wrong. Mitt is unelectable. Period. He would lose, gracefully, but soundly. No one likes him. Even with all the propaganda machine in his corner, he can't get above 25 percent.
Gingrich, Santorum, Perry, would all win. When offered a choice between marxism and freedom, Americans will choose freedom. When offered a mushy choice of revamped social programs, they will go with the socialist.
If failing to vote for Romney means Obama gets four more years, then, “frankly My Dear, I don’t . . .” The fact is that Obama hates America as we know it and will do his best to destroy this country with a continued rapid transition to communism. Romney doesn’t hate America but will do his best to move us toward socialism at a moderate pace because he thinks that will be a good thing. I’m not seeing the up side to a Romney vote. If Romney is the nominee, I will vote, and I’ll work very hard to get living voters to the pools so that we have as conservative as possible a congress to stop either Obama or Romney, whichever leftist wins, but I won’t vote for Mitt. If the GOP wants my vote, they can select any of the dozens of acceptable conservatives, not one of the few unacceptable RINOs.
Another 4 more years of Obama and we have a shot at nothing, zero, nada, zilch. Our country will be dead.
Obama will take you golfing now, and Michelle will hand down her fabulous wardrobe to you. Don’t expect a job, though.
So, you’re supporting Obama then???
Like it or not, THIS IS THE PROCESS that chooses the nominee.
