Watch the video. The incident may have happened a long time ago, but clearly he is not at all regretful about it. And here's what I don't get: Even if he personally isn't regretful about the incident, how could any politician not realize that this one incident is a huge negative on his image, and he would do well to at least ACT regretful and apologetic. But he doesn't. He sees nothing wrong with what he did.
Romney is hardhearted; he has a heart of stone
I’ve never heard of an “airtight kennel”.
I’m no Romney fan, but is this really the basis of political discourse? I’d rather see conservatives press him to vow some specific changes to the mess that is our budget. And make us believe them.
Thanks for posting, I had forgotten about this - what kind of A-hole does that to the family pet? His giggling about it is creepy, as well.
This is yet another video of Romney lying, here is the truth of how shaken up and abused the dog was.
As the oldest son, Tagg Romney commandeered the way-back of the wagon, keeping his eyes fixed out the rear window, where he glimpsed the first sign of trouble. ‘’Dad!’’ he yelled. ‘’Gross!’’ A brown liquid was dripping down the back window, payback from an Irish setter who’d been riding on the roof in the wind for hours.
As the rest of the boys joined in the howls of disgust, Romney coolly pulled off the highway and into a service station. There, he borrowed a hose, washed down Seamus and the car, then hopped back onto the highway. It was a tiny preview of a trait he would grow famous for in business: emotion-free crisis management.

You never heard of it because there is no such thing. Plus, wouldn't "airtight" mean the dog couldn't breath?
Of course. That is why I think this story is seriously flawed.
My dog would probably like riding on the roof of a car. No, I’m not voting for mr romneycare. Why don’t you people find something a little more “real” to criticize him about? This is just stupid.
I'm no Romney fan (check my posting history if you wish) but some of this stuff is just silly. Airtight kennel? c'mon. The damn dog was fine.
Notice,
there are NO personal anecdotes or stories of or about Obama, EVER !?
Does not matter who the GOP nominates, it`ll be the most personal bloody destructive hatched job EVER pulled on a nominee who dares go against their messiah.
I saw Mitt on FNC about 4 years ago, actually Ann saying Mitt wanted to be buried in the coffin with her when they died. Anyone else remember that? Kind of sweet.
While that may be true, and it is, this story is all over Facebook....and people do NOT like it.
re: “airtight”
I heard he attached a “windshield” to the dog crate and strapped the unit to the top of the car.
I think he did a ton of bad/liberal things more important that this.
Any dog that rides in a car or pickup would probably love it.
And no, I’m not a Romulan.
The only thing I can think of that's worse is hunters who throw their dogs into the kennels in the back of their pickup trucks after a week of hunting then drive the 1200 miles back home............. /sarc/truth
I find it creepy that Mitt’s father, as a sitting Governor, personally trained and handled the teen girl’s conversion to Mormonism, and that Ann’s parents were forbidden to watch the marriage ceremony.
“Some day I hope to become the man my dog thinks I am.”
Romney? That +@* of a #!#*% lashed me to the roof of the car, and he knew I didn’t feel well. Oh yeah, they were all inside.
And he was driving on the interstate, 70 mph. I was terrified and that b*!+&#d knew it too!
So the oldest one starts screaming when I can’t hold it any longer and what does he do? Pulls over, hoses me down and the car and then gets back on the interstate.
