I find it creepy that Mitt’s father, as a sitting Governor, personally trained and handled the teen girl’s conversion to Mormonism, and that Ann’s parents were forbidden to watch the marriage ceremony.

If you are not a fully vested Mormon, you are not allowed to attend the part of the Mormon wedding that is inside the Temple. It dos not matter who you are, or what your relationship is to the bride. That is how it always has been, and anyone who has lived in a part of the country where there are a lot of Mormons residing knows that.

Only the special people are allowed into the temple. “temple worthy” About 15% of mormons make it to that status, there is a list of rules to be followed to the letter.
As a side note Romney, Reid and Hunstmas are all ‘worthy’.
