I'm also a bit disappointed in Santorum's performance tonight. I was hoping he'd step up and make a bigger impact after his Iowa performance earlier this week. Unfortunately (and I hate to say it), Romney is holding his own and will probably maintain front-runner status. As for Newt, he's doing well as usual but will likely finish well behind Romney on Tuesday night.
A third party run by somebody like Palin is looking more attractive.
I was open to giving Santorum a fair chance, but the more I hear from him, the less I think he’s up to the job.
Agreed. But should Texas, e.g., have to recognize a same-sex marriage performed in Massachusetts?
Unless the Federal government issues a standard definition of marriage (see mnehring's #793), they do -- under the "full faith & credit" clause.
“He cant whip up a crowd “
I find his speeches quite inspiring actually.
I’m leaning that way too...
Perry is being shut out, opentalk. It is sad, but this may do him in. I wonder what his purpose really was in the cold and then hot move on Friday? It cooked him I am afraid.
I want him to put his money with Newt and not blow through it simply because he still has it. I don’t get it.
There is PLENTY of money available for roads and bridges through the gas tax.
There would be even MORE money for transportation spending programs if the gov’t:
1. Eliminated union rules
2. Eliminated minority set-asides in road projects
3. Eliminated environment impact studies and told the NDRC and Sierra Club to F’ off
4. Improve the economy - more people driving, paying taxes
5. Eliminated
6. Increased domestic oil production
7. Eliminated CAFE standards
8. Abolished the EPA
Been there, done that in Iran.
Good point!
What do you expect from BJ Clinton's chief kneepadder?
Amazing how much they’ve ignored Perry. Insulting
The TOLLEY-BON (AS THE MUSLIM IN CHIEF PRONOUNCES IT) in Afghanistan is nothing that about 75 neutron bombs couldn’t solve.
You don’t shrink down to the size of a roach and fight bugs with swords to take care of an infestation, you get an exterminator and wipe them out wholesale.
Start with the Saudis, who owe us about 10 trillion dollars in reparations for 9/11.
Use cruise missiles and blockade the sons of bitches, screw letting these subhuman camel jockeys take out our troops.
Americans should be paying 10 cents a gallon for gas, certainly no more than the degenerate ragheads in the “Kingdom” pay.
God help the perverted homicidal freak muhammedans if we get a POTUS who isn’t a muzzie communist or is in bed with them like Bush.
And the socialist crooks in DC that are working overtime to destroy the United States and the capitalist system will get whats coming to them.
Payback time for enemies foreign and domestic is right around the corner.
Bless you, dear Marcella!
I’m still holding some large money I have saved for Sarah Palin, on the chance that Newt comes to my state for a grand visit that costs money, so I can afford to attend!
I’ll soon part with it, (I guess), but I really want to hang onto it, in case he wins the nomination.
Sorry but to me Romney is far more boring than Santorum.
And Sawyer is drug addled. I wonder if she needs help to her limo after.
that’ll happen to you when you’re hovering between 0 and 1% in the polls.
Yes he did, as did Santorum, and THAT ladies and gentlemen, is just ONE reason the issues of gay marriage are extremely important. And I for one am very glad our candidates did not shirk from it. It has broad implications for our country, not just culturally, but financially, and more importantly even that that, it circumvents the Constitutions six ways to sundown!!! As Conservatives, we need to face the fact that laughing or looking the other way/not caring is how we got this far into the mess in our schools our churches, etc etc etc. It is not about couples in the privacy of their homes, it is about forcing it on every aspect of our society. Those who say this election is just about the econimy, can we not multitask anymore? Since when does our nation concentrate on one issue at a time, and let the rest just wait their turn?
Perry nails the Right to work issue!
Doesn’t Diane Sawyer know Iowa Democrats are the reason Ron Paul has exaggerated levels of support? As soon as Democrats aren’t allowed to vote in Republican Primaries, he’s out.
Forgot Rick Perry was actually on the stage.
