NEW YORK -- The Philadelphia police department has released surveillance video of a brutal attack following Monday's Winter Classic game in an effort to identify the three suspects involved in the beating of two men wearing New York Rangers jerseys outside a South Philadelphia cheesesteak shack.
The graphic video shows three suspects wearing Philadelphia Flyers jerseys beating and kicking the two victims outside Geno's Steaks in South Philly at 7:15 p.m. ET.

One of the victims was an off-duty Woodbridge, N.J., police officer, according to Woodbridge Township spokesman John Hagerty. NBC New York identified him as Neal Auricchio, 30, who the station says also served as a Marine in Iraq.
"He got banged up pretty badly," his father, Neal Auricchio Sr., told NBC New York Wednesday. "Stitches in the one eye, and the other eye is pretty puffed up. He went for a CT scan today, and we're waiting for the results on that."

Philly: the land of thugs. The USA can’t cultivate English Soccer Hooligans, so we substitute Philly (all sports) and, of course, the Baltimoron Ravens.
The Oakland Raiders get the prize for having the ugliest moronic fans in professional sports.

But not the most thuggish — that goes to philly (all sports).
Yes, Philly does seem to have a large base of low IQ sports fans.
To be fair, Santa wasn’t around to throw snowballs at.
So a couple of guys got into a fist fight...big woop...have we become that genteel and feminized that men can’t settle their differences with their fists without becoming criminals and everybody acting so shocked??
Snowballs loaded with batteries.......

It was a mugging by thugs who are like little babies who can’t stand the idea that someone else supports a different team.
Fighting for something meaningful is great. Fighting for a freaking sports team is thuggish, stupid, infantile and THE sign of a tiny Johnson.
Babies in large bodies.
Just like when you name your daughter Chastity she is far more likely to be "un-chaste" (I self-censored my original term), when you name a city for brotherly love you are just begging for it to turn into thug city.
Oakland Raiders fans are harmless cartoons.
LA Raiders fans, on the other hand...well, let’s just say that the crime rate in San Diego doubles when the Raiders visit the Chargers.
Yeah, what’s the big deal? Looked to me like the Ranger fan made the initial contact. Then he got his a$$ beat. His buddy joined in and all bets were off. It really is not too bright wearing a Rangers jersey in South Philly. That is akin to me using the N word in N Jersey projects at 11pm on a Saturday. I would expect an a$$ beating for being stupid.
Come on, pal. I’ve seen fist fights for a lot of stupider reasons than a sports game. How about over a hand of poker or a bad look in a bar. Not to mention over a woman !! LOL...But then maybe I grew up in a different world than you. Anyway, it looked like a fair fight until one group got the better of the other guys.
Ha ha....My thoughts exactly !! What did John Wayne say, “Life is tough. But tougher when your stupid “ !!
Mike
I’m no fan of Philly, but I think it is a much nicer place to visit than NYC as a tourist (I live less than 10 miles west of NYC, and haven’t been there in years). I was pleasantly surprised in Philly; NYC is a dump in comparison.
Go Devils!
Actually, "your" should be "you're", which means "you are".
I stand corrected !!

That doesn’t remove the stupidness.
Nor does it exonerate the thugs in question nor philly.

That post didn’t work out very well for you, did it?
