I think most people would say the progressive movement has caused more damage to America than anything else.
Newt says his favorite presidents are Teddy Roosevelt, Wilson and FDR and praises them on their ability to get things done (of course bypassing Congress and the Constitution). Oh yeah those are the 3 greatest progressive Presidents of the 20 century.
Gingrich believes in global warming caused by man and thinks government should do something about in the form of taxation and regulation (aka Cap & Trade - designed by Enron and Al Gore).
Gingrich supports the Patriot Act (actually written by Joe Biden - really you can’t make this stuff up)
But NONE of that leads you to believe he is a progressive?
What is a progressive to you? Only someone in the Democratic party? Name on Republican progressive?
Pray tell, you have such a hard-on about Newt, but yet you haven’t said who YOU are backing in this race.
I would like to know.
