Can someone tell me why Glenn Beck has such digust for Newt Gingrich, without mentionning his conservative credentials on Israel and Balanced budgets? Glenn said on GBTV last night that he leaves political expertise to Rush Limbaugh. However, he does not mention that Rush is usually positive on Newt's conservative background. The vitrol toward Newt Gingrich from Glenn and his GBTV panelists seems to be unreasonable and coordinated. Any explanations would be appreciated.

Not a shock here, though there's lots to not like about Newt but for GB I think he likes to claim he's more Libertarian, so I'm wondering why Paul isn't his candidate.
Same reason I was not so fast to jump on the Newt bandwagon. I just don’t understand the man crush on Newt all of a sudden. You could not get a kind word from a conservative or TEA Party member about Newt when Cain and Perry were on top and Newt was in the single digits. It’s one thing to have to support the guy because no one else has caught fire. But it’s quite another to get amnesia about all the reasons you did not like Newt a few months ago. And now with Santorum the latest non-Romney candidate to catch fire, you are starting to see how truly loyal the new Newt followers really were. They are not. They are storming over to the Santorum camp.
Because conservatives like to eat their own.
Beck was baptised Catholic. His daughter started running around with a Morman and she got him to go church with her (a Morman Church). Apparently he was a cafeteria Catholic who didn’t take his faith too serious, and she got him to become a Morman. So this fruitcake left the Church that was started by Christ himself 2000 years ago to join a “church” started by some character named Joe Smith. Beck says he was also impressed with the Morman’s no alcohol tradition. He said he was a drunk and wanted to quit drinking. I don’t guess this odd-ball thought he could quit drinking if he remained Catholic.
Beck is an odd-ball and a nutcase. He was basically ran off Faux News. He has said in the past he agrees with most of Ron Paul’s views.

Are you listening to him right now? He is covering this quite thourly. He is playing the clip of Newt describing himself as a REALPOLITIK WILSONIAN. Does that sound like any Conservative you’ve ever seen? Wilson was a Progressive mess. Not a good comparison.

Newt is not ‘just like Mitt Romney’.
Both have made appallingly wrong headed judgement calls and character assessments. However, Newt has moved conservative agendas forward in his career, a thing that Romney has never done and will never do.
