I know people like Perry, but he truly is dumber than a box of rocks. Seeing him stumble through that letter last night was just painful. Poor campaign management at the least. He really came across quite illiterate.

When I found out Santorum won this morning, I was reminded of the Santorum rally I attended five years ago, in 2006, on the eve of Santorum’s election against Casey (blech!).
I don’t usually go to rallies, but this one was a mile from my house so I thought what the heck. Everyone was very enthusiastic, and Rick was positive about his chances. I didn’t have any reason to think he wouldn’t win (other than the polls, but who believes polls?), but after it was over I went up to his wife Karen, shook her hand, and inexplicably blurted out: “God has something better for him.”
She looked at me like I was a kook, and I don’t blame her.
