AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Not sure, the article has substantially changed since I first read it. (Washington Time article linked on Drudge.) When I first read it, it was not even one full page, it’s now two pages.

It just pisses me off that he says “I’m not going to take No for an answer.” Oh, okay. So you can just have your way. How old is he? Three?

put bachmann in as speaker of the house - she has the spine ....

That would be a "titanium" spine :-) .... and I like Bachmann for Speaker. Her speech today was the best I've heard from her.

A government agency employee, perhaps—charged to the taxpayer, of course.

$6.00 for a Sunday issue? Wow. I don’t pay $6.00 for a magazine.

Rush was talking about Obama's live video speech to his supporters in Iowa.
There is a link and picture of this on the Drudge Report.
While Obama was speaking, news reports have said that there were no cheers, shouts, or chanting.

Rush said it looks like they made Obama look 20-30 years older .... and that he looks like MaxHeadroom..

Static, Bad Audio Interrupt Obama's Iowa Webcast...

Bachman as Speaker. I like it. I like it a lot. I’d be delighted to get rid of Boehner the Establishment Hack.

Obama's Greek chorus:

'Occupy Congress' seeks permit for Jan. 17 protest (freeloaders go to the source)

Occupy Congress, a national group partnering with Occupy DC for a major protest this month, is slowly moving forward in its efforts to aquire a permit for the protest.

The group has scheduled a meeting Thursday with the National Parks Service to discuss getting a permit that would allow up to 10,000 people to protest outside the Capitol on Jan. 17....

Lozada said protesters will ask for permission to set up "basic soundsystems" and portable toilets outside the Capitol on Jan. 17, the day Congress is scheduled to return to work. They're also need to work out a route for the march.

I agree it is a non-issue. Unfortunately many here still hold it against him and others keep saying he cannot win since he couldn't win in his own state. However, the situation has changed since then, and he has done well in debates.
