New Hampshire almost never votes for the same candidate that Iowa does

It was said most Iowa voters picked their choice at the last minute. Romney might shed some "taken for granted" poll votes; after tonight's performance. People like when an underdog is finally recognized and they can quickly fall behind them.

Let's see how those "seven men in a log cabin way up in NH" [a joke], cast their votes, now that you have the farmer vote.

NH is; however, a MA bedroom community. They make work in the Commonwealth, but they don't want the taxes, the schools and the broke back state that MA is.

My sentiment exactly. I prefer Santorum over Romney, but still maintain Romney over Gingrich. Perry and Michele are unfortunately finished at this point, and I truly hope that Ron Paul loses big elsewhere since he is nuts.

Gingrich's speech tonight was awful, especially his incessant crying over the Super PAC advertisements. Romney is a SUNDAY PICNIC compared to what the Chicago Stalinists would do to Gingrich, and he needs to quit the whining.

You are right. This was honestly the first time I was exposed to Santorum on a platform where he could speak his feelings on all the current political madness, and he was the true winner tonight. He is my #1 pick now, and I hope he gets the nomination.

One of the analysts was saying that Santorum’s populist conservative economics and his strong stances on social issues are almost exactly the same mix that Pat Buchanan used to win New Hampshire in 1996.

Iowa just announced that Romney won by 4 votes.

I could care less what Rove says at this point, since Santorum appeared basically out of nowhere and won the interest and respect of countless Americans tonight.

Because Gingrich keeps crying about the Super PAC stuff, even tonight in his speech. He just doesn't handle himself well in a political contest.

Sheesh, the Romney machine is a Disney cartoon show compared to what the Kenyan liar and his army of flying monkeys have in store for Gingrich.

Yes Rove said that Romney won by 14 and he said both campaigns have agreed to this, but the posted numbers have yet to catch up with Rove’s information.

That’ll work in New Hampshire and Mittens can no longer count on the garlanded roses path to the nomination.

Mr. Establishment vs the Comeback Kid.

Romney to win by 14 votes...

How much money was spent -by the rich Romney camp- per vote?

How much was spent by underdog, Santorum, per vote?

I liked the "shoe-string" [campaign finances] analogy the other day-- reply to interviewer, giving shoe-strings a bad name.

I thought it was Especially Big of Santorum to call Alan Colmes a good guy even after the "dying child as a plaything" painful comment with his added snear delivery. Colmes may have just helped Santorum, as that was despicable!!!

HEADLINE: Jan. 4, 2012, 1:51 a.m. EST
"Romney, Santorum in virtual tie in Iowa race
Caucus results up in air in historically close contest
"But it was Santorum’s performance that stole the show on Tuesday night, as caucus-goers rallied around the lesser-known former senator from Pennsylvania, who was handily out-spent by his better-funded rival."-- MARKETWATCH

Newt is way too pompous for my taste. He can quickly and naturally resort back to child like taunts, although being "as intelligent" and "a master of debate" as he is always described; thereby, should have chosen far better explanatory retorts to lead with. If he were to become the chosen one, I would have had to vote for him; but if I do not have to.....

But why do you like Willard the Lib over Newt, dude?

List me three conservative accomplishments of Willard?

Here’s Newts..

Speaker Gingrich-led Republicans….the result:

* Four consecutive balanced budgets
* Over $400 billion of debt paid off
* Bipartisan welfare reform
* 11 million new jobs
* Unemployment falling to under 4%.

As per Iowa GOP on Twitter:

Final results:
Romney - 30,015
Santorum - 30,007
Paul - 26,219
Gingrich - 16,251
Perry - 12,604
Bachmann - 6073
Hunstman - 745

Mitt wins by 8 votes. That is a loss.

When I finally went to bed (ater 1AM) they were still waiting for some guy in a truck to bring the votes not yet counted????

No one seemed to know who the guy was....where he was from....or when he would arrive?

At that point, Santorum was ahead.

When I woke this AM....Romney was ahead by 8.....

..which most would call a tie...

..but Doocey & Fox seemed to delight (imo) in calling it a 'win' for Romney.

I can't watch their drivel anymore....especially Rove....it isn't good for my blood pressure.

I choose to retain what I actually saw and heard from Santorum LIVE --late last night-- when he gave one of the most stirring and heartfelt and life affirming, God praising speeches I've heard in a long time!

He honestly sounded like Ted Kennedy the way he talked.

Almost. He is like Ted Kennedy without the slurring.

“This whole story stinks. It does look like the establishment is in panic mode though. They put the fix in here against Santorum, they are dragging McLame out for an endorsement tomorrow, we just found out that Mittens dumped a lot of resources into IA for a substantial win that didn’t happen.”

Don’t forget the fun and games in Virginia.
