This was Perry greeting Obama when the president flew to Austin for a fundraiser. Perry wanted to know why Obama had done nothing about border security and when Obama continued to ignore him, he took the occasion to personally hand Obama a list of grievances.

Since Perry’s recovered from his surgery and off the pain meds...he’s back on his game.
Obama’d be intimidated before he ever got on the stage. He does NOT want that to happen.
Any job gains he’s got to talk about would disappear without Perry and Texas. He couldn’t even bring it up without risking Perry saying, “...And without Texas you’d be down another million or so...”
