> Should Ron Paul be elected, and the Iranians decide to close the Straits of Hormuz, President Paul would have an epiphany like Jimmy Carter did when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan: “You mean we really do have enemies?” At that point he’d be glad we had more aircraft carriers than the rest of the world put together.
Oh, please. If Paul hasn’t figured out yet who are our enemies and what threat they pose to us, he doesn’t deserve to hold the office. The evidence is available and obvious to any American with 2 brain cells to rub together. And your best hope is your boy having a JIMMY CARTER-like epiphany after a hostile action by Iran? Holy crow! The presidency is far too powerful and the world far too dangerous for on the job training! (as the present Occupier In Chief so amply has demonstrated)
I agree. My point was that if somehow he did get elected President, he'd be in for a shock. Just as Jimmy Carter was.
