You undoubtedly have the best of both worlds. Rugs that don’t grumble noticeably, and shed tentacles being discarded at NNB’s house rather than yours, unless you have a very severe mess under the fridge. If it doesn’t smell funny, I’m not worried.
We cleaned out under the refrigerator fairly recently, when some kind of food spilled off the counter into the abyss. There was no sign of a live rodent at that point. DP’s going to put out a glue trap tonight in the pantry and see what we get. There are open packages of pet food in there, so it’s an obvious place for a mouse to lurk, even though I’m not seeing movement or droppings.
*lots of shuffling, crashing and stretching noises*
(TA-DAH!!!)
I’m A-LIVE!!!!! *Bwahahahahaha!*
It was in doubt? Who was that posting earlier under your name?
The Stig can’t type yet, can he?
Um, you are in the future.
Current time 7:30 pm.
My computer and my weather-beeber say it’s 7:40 p.m. EST. FR says it is ...
“...our employees in DC have clearly forgotten for whom they work...is our fault.” I don’t wish to be contentious, but I believe their bad behavior is their fault. They are responsible for their actions. There is no excuse for their behavior. Period. They’d love nothing better than to be able to say, “But, golly! We weren’t aware that there was a problem.” And, yes, I’m assigning a value judgment. They can kiss my grits.
Um...I was posting earlier on: 1. my cellphone, and 2. a Nook.
It was all I could do to keep my hands in the newest Undead Pie.
Since The Stig abides directly over my PC, he usually manages to dictate certain items that may or may not be believed. Therefore, I try to placate him, lest he become unruly and/or rude.
7:51.
Oh, well. A little fluidity in the space-time continuum is probably healthy.
Better your grits than mine...
And with that, I’m off to watch the Blanket Show. All y’all have a good evening!
Grits with pork gravy ... sigh.
I have cranberry sauce left from tonight’s supper; maybe I’ll make grits with cranberry sauce tomorrow morning. I hate leaving perfectly good food sitting around, and I’m out of cheddar cheese, anyway.
“Maybe its the smell of me cooking onions.” One of my high school friends wanted to learn to bake a pound cake from her grandma. Grandma told her, “First, fry an onion.” Dianne was astonished, and asked why. Grandma said, “To make the house smell good.”
LOL!
I love the smell of onions and garlic cooking. Meat doesn’t hurt, either, although that attracts the crowd of slavering 4-footed mammals. Of course, the mammals show up as soon as you open a package of meat ... heck, even when an unopened package of meat is sufficiently thawed! Nothing like a hound’s nose for meat ...
“Better your grits than mine...” Was my response a gaffe? If so, I apologize.
I have a knee-jerk reaction when someone assigns blame that obviously belongs to a perp. My husband was in a sociology class in the ‘90’s where they discussed the attack of a few “youts” upon a motorist driving through a dangerous neighborhood during the dark hours. The general drift was, “He had no business driving through that neighborhood at that hour with his car window open.” Patently nonsensical.
Shouldn't you put his dictates in italics? Just so we know who is talking. ;-)
Oh, well. A little fluidity in the space-time continuum is probably healthy.
I suppose that this will happen more often as we get closer to the end of the world Dec. 21/12 anyway.

I think 'Face was just thinking she didn't want any public-official folks near her grits. (Literal or figurative) Responding, in other words, to the phrase, rather than the sentiment, which I can't see why anyone would disagree.
(This is the Molasses Miasma of Niceness, which sustains the Undead Thread in its suitability as a passable alternative to the Beach House in Your Mind. If your keyboard gets sticky, try a little Diet 7-up.)
LOL!
