This remark has nothing to do with candidates... but you hit on something. Most of us have come to the realization that our government can no longer be trusted on any level... they lie daily... and conspire and murder (Fast and Furious) for power and wealth.

Those in power want to stay in power, or at least find ways to benefit, personally and financially, from that power.

Citizens, voters, are only tools to get them there. They have basically said as much. How many elected officials have (after they got elected, of course) decried elections, in general?
