The Talk Shows
January 1st, 2012
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): 2012 GOP presidential candidates Rick Perry, Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): 2012 GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum; Matt Strawn, Iowa GOP chairman.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.
THIS WEEK (ABC): 2012 GOP presidential candidates Bachmann and Paul; Gov. Terry Branstad, R-Iowa.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Ron Paul; Branstad; Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa.
All three also support Newt Gingrich. None have endorsed anyone, but there is no doubt all three would support Newt with a full court press.
Stop eating corn??? Don't do it. It will be okay. Perry is coming in 2nd. IMVeryoptimisticHO. Lol.
Very improper of us to comment on Santorum’s appearance, but he does have that wimpy, kid on beach getting sand thrown in his face look.
He could attempt to look more strong and manly but you can’t be what you’re not. But he should shun the lipstick.
You’re exactly right - and we the non-sheeple must NOT give them the satisfaction! Thank God RuPaul’s numbers are falling somewhat. But Newt needs help. He’s the master of debate and far sharper than Mittens who’d fold like a cheap suit against The Wan. We need him.
I know that fast and furious BS the RNC and VA officials tried to play by changing the rules last minute, all of a sudden votes never coutned now were counted etc etc. but truth is Newt is from VA! He should have had his 15,000 names already in the bag! Hard to make excuses for that one.
Bottom line though you are correct. Newt's genius shows through any time he is put up against anyone else.
HE is always the intellect in the room just as zero is always the weakest mind in any room.
An election between the two should be easily decided by anyone who can read and write and decipher brilliant from stupid.
A brunette on Fox News is just soooo wrong. You want to know what’s up with that, who’s she ... cosy with?
Exactly, I think its a credit to FNC and their viewers that they do react to left wing bias from the usuals. Also some get zotted as well such as the giraffe who is now history.
By the looks of Iowa, can we already dismiss them as easily manipulated by negative ads? Should we wait for some real states to vote like SC and FL? Has anybody won the nomination who won this flaky state?
Happy New Year Sunday Freepers
If Perry comes in 1st, 2nd or 3rd, I will have corn on the cob Wednesday.
As far as ethanol goes, I have no choice. It’s mandated.
I hate for my choices to be mandated.
Obama needs to go.
That's why they call it FOX news.
I know it sounds horribly vulgar, but that is the particular behavior we're talking about.
It is particularly dangerous given AIDS and other venereal diseases.
and I’ll have some sweet cornbread!!
I see him clearly going out of his way to not endorse any candidate just let things take their path after carefully analyzing all the candidates.
I listen to the show quite regularly, have a good feel for talk radio after 32 years and have heard him many times allude to Newt's brilliance. Its a no brainer. He is the smartest guy we have. Does he still have a baggage car full--for sure-- but you can't take away his intellect.
But it is obvious all three prefer Perry,Bachman and Santorum over Newt and Mitt. Rush and Mark refer to them as the conservatives in the race.
Newt and Mitt are on record self-confessed “progressives” and even though none of the candidates are perfect that curse is the worse.
I like Newt better than the rest of the field besides Perry.
Perry has better credentials and better ideas.
Newt has millions of ideas, thousands of them good, a few crazy but he expresses them very well. If we could just count on him to stay focused on the main issues that need to be handled, I would be happier.
I’m not too worried about the private life thing, but not sure I trust the current wife. Not just the expensive jewelry and getting him to take her on an ill-advised trip, but she does seem to have undue influence on him.
And she is one hard-looking babe.
However, he’s my second choice. Hang in there, Newt.
Not our “guy” at all Rod! You KNOW who I mean!
Yeah for sure, inquiring minds....
I've read the thread through post 89. Managed to see MTP’s roundtable, but missed Santorum’s interview. Now watching Fox News Sunday, and grimacing at Wallace's bias.
Here are recent quotes from Bachman’s former staff (Huckabee’s former staff) showing his hope that Romeny makes it and refers to Newt and Perry as dangerous.
1st Quote:
Few saw this bombshell coming, GOP strategist David Polyansky said. In an already unpredictable race this is another stunning turn of political fortune.
2nd Quote:
It is kind of interesting to see that, by pure luck and timing, in what many have dubbed the Fox Primary, that it might actually be CNN as the network that had the biggest impact and influence on the Iowa caucus, Polyansky said.
3rd Quote
Where Romney places in the caucuses may prove less important than where his rivals land, Polyansky said. Santorum and Paul would be much easier to dispose of in South Carolina and Florida than the more dangerous Perry and Gingrich, he said.

It’s ridiculous, but homosexuals are a protected species for some reason.
