If there ever was to be a 1,000,000 dollar bill, it should have Obamas face on the front, and a picture of Pebble Beach on the back.
Nah, that's the $3 bill.
With a $10,000,000 Zimbabwean dollar bill, you could make a down payment on a pack of gum.
Bill Clinton is on my $3 bill.
LOL! And I thought this was a fake news story on New Years Eve to get some laughs :).
Did he REALLY think they were going to hand him $999,426 in change out of the till?
Especially at Wally World...
Nobody said criminals were smart.
Interesting thanks
Yes, an idiot. But at least maybe we should give him some credit for thinking big.
Part of the 99% trying to be 1%.
Yes, enterpreneurs think big and take big risks. His next venture might just succeed! Bravo!
Guys like this with fake $1,000,000 bills make it awfully tough for those of us with real ones.
I was pretty sure I was spelling it rong but went ahead and typed it that way anyway.
You oughta see the rackets when tourists from one country discover that their country’s worthless coins work on another country’s vending machines that return change!
Funny-
From the huffington post- 2008-
“Amid Zimbabwe’s mind-boggling hyper inflation, a new 100 billion dollar bank note has more value as a novelty item on eBay than on the streets of the capital.
The note, launched this week, is worth enough to buy a loaf of bread - if you can find one on Zimbabwe’s depleted store shelves. Meanwhile on eBay, the bill was on offer for nearly US$80.”
I always said if I was going to get in a scrap, it would not be over $476, it would be over a million, but I never thought anyone would be stupid enough to try it.
Yet another victory for socialism in the Weimar Republic, I mean Zimbabwe. And I no longer will refer to that once great country as Zimbabwe but by its successful name, Rhodesia.
This guy wasn’t doing anything different than the Federal Reserve Bank.
Quantitative easing on a very direct level— print your own cash. Now, there’s an idea for a test case— and surprised Secret Service hasn’t been called in on the uh, counterfeit bill submitted.
If the guy gets a good attorney, the point could be made that “uttering” only occurs if the payee knowingly accepts the payment as legal tender (if the payee accepts it as payment— it IS payment). Could be interesting, but somehow I think this is just some dumb idiot, thinking he’s very clever.
My post asked along the same lines. He could hardly “forge” what doesn’t exist.
On the other hand, what idiot would think a single wal-mart would have change on hand of $999,524.00? This will end up with the guy being evaluated mentally. They didn’t have to arrest him- should have just refused to let him take the items.
Did read somewhere that color copiers have a chip in them that will not let someone color copy any US bill, and it shuts down the copier.
Course the day may come when we will need big bills to pay what used to be little bills. Inflation- taxation without representation. Deo Vindice.
Yes, but it's SOOO diverse and multicultural now- Oh, wait....
