Holder’s war on voter-ID laws is racially motivated

Eric Holder’s Department of Justice (DOJ) has launched an all-out war on voter-ID laws and other measures designed to safeguard the electoral process. Although Holder’s actions are purportedly to prevent African-Americans from being disenfranchised, the reality is that they serve the crass political purpose of ensuring that Holder’s boss gets re-elected next year.

In the past several years states have increasingly focused on measures to protect the vote. After years of the federal government loosening voting regulations, such as through the Motor Voter Act and the Help America Vote Act, the pendulum started swinging back at the state level.

The clearest example of this trend is through voter-ID laws. In 2008 the Supreme Court upheld Indiana’s landmark law requiring citizens to show that they are the person they claim to be by showing government-issued ID before casting a ballot. But to ensure that those without driver’s licenses or passports are not disenfranchised, Indiana provides free ID’s to everyone who applies for one. The court upheld this law, with the primary opinion written by no one less than liberal lion Justice John Paul Stevens.

Such laws combat voter fraud that we see on Election Day, especially in certain parts of the nation. In Washington State, King County suddenly “discovered” enough previously “unnoticed” votes for Democrat Christine Gregoire to edge out Republican Dino Rossi for Washington’s governorship in 2004. There are also examples from Wisconsin, Missouri, and other states.

Yet Holder has blocked South Carolina’s voter-ID law. DOJ argues that this law is different from Indiana’s because South Carolina is subject to additional federal oversight under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act. (This is especially important because there are several federal cases challenging the constitutionality of Section 5.)

Attorney General Eric Holder Wednesday called the American people "essentially a nation of cowards" in failing to openly discuss the issue of race.

He should know as the Obama 'War Room' has from the get go used the race card to both threaten whites and protect Blacks from answering to law. Obama was never vetted and still is not because of his race without which he never would have been elected.

Why doesn’t Holder just go for the gusto and declare that there will be “Vote Reparations,” wherein, because people whose skin color looked like his were not allowed to vote in the distant past, all people with that skin color now will get to vote as many times as they like in the upcoming and all future elections.

White house security requires a photo ID - those stinkin racists.

In Colorado you are required to have a photo ID drivers license to drive - racists!

To get through airport security you have to present a photo ID - TSA gay gropers are racists!

In order to cash a check at the local supermarket I have to present a photo ID, doesn't matter if I'm purchasing black beans or crackers - the super market is racist.

To require the man with his finger nuclear launch button to have a valid birth certificate is racist.

Yet Holder has blocked South Carolina’s voter-ID law.

Yes he has.

As a South Carolinian, let's take a realistic look at how we nasty "Southerners" disenfranchise poor folks:

Poor folks don't have much money. At first we planned to charge for a state photo ID. But we relented and decided to give the IDs away for free.

Then the poor folks said, "But we have no transportation to get to the place where we can get our free photo ID." So Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina set up a special toll-free number these poor transportation-impaired individuals could call to have transportation arranged just for them. Last I heard, there had been 25 calls.

As you can clearly see, we South Carolinians have mounted a strong, vile, nasty campaign to disenfranchise as many poor voters as we possibly can.

More proof that the commie ‘RATS’ “Dumbing Down of America” program was a big success. Americans should be screaming for this maggot’s resignation and not worry about being called a “racist” for doing it.

At the time someone registers to vote (DMV, County Courthouse, political register’s office), have them fill out an application for a state ID card (provided they can prove they’re a resident of that state).

Problem solved.

There is only one reason for a person to be against voter ID. That is if they want to cheat.

part of the issue is, some people don’t really want to have to pinpoint their identity. because when you are collecting money from the state, you don’t wanna rock the boat. because you might have to be different people on different days.
then, I discovered here in FL, you have to lay out your whole fricken life to get a DL license. So the BS about disenfranchisement only applies to those discriminatory places like SC.
