If he swears to do so on a stack of bibles then I’m on board!

But I doubt he is serious.

LOL, if you read this he doesn’t say much of anything other than possible energy secretary.

But... there are those that will read much more into it. LMAO!

Sounds to me that Newt is insecure about his candidacy and feels the need to drop Sarah Palin's name to get better poll numbers.

The headline and Newt’s quote don’t quite match. He was asked a question, and gave a non-committal answer, while praising Palin and what accomplished in AK and could bring to govt. It’s not as if he threw her name out there as someone he’d consider for VP.

I still think she’s better suited to be a fabulous Secy of Energy. The VP slot itself offers little opportunity to get anything accomplished.

I am a great admirer of hers and she was a remarkable reform governor of Alaska, she’s somebody who I think brings a great deal to the possibility of helping in government...

This only serves to strengthen my support for Newt Gingrich. This illustrates his excellent ability to judge character and indicates that the Gingrich administration will have the only very best people surrounding him.

GO NEWT GO! Rebellion is brewing! January 2013 will be a Happy Newt Year when a pro-God, pro-Reagan, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-military Constitutional Conservative leads our country back to greatness!

How about a dose of real-world thinking...Newt did not "float" the idea of palin as his veep....he was asked if he would consider palin...what was he going to say - no?

This is seinfeld.

Newt looks better all the time. Much better than an all mormon ticket of Mittens and Huntsman

Personally, i think this may be how Perry (or Santorum) could spark a wave of new-found support. If nothing else, it sure would make this thing more interesting. I'm growing bored with watching The Annointment & Coronation of Myth Romney by pollsters, dems, GOP-Elites, and the press.

If it happens, stock up on the popcorn!

"If you’re fortunate enough to be nominated, would you consider having Sarah Palin as your running mate?"

Only hussein would answer this question with No. Newt's answer is the ONLY answer.

Come on people, he was specifically asked about Palin as a VP - what candidate would say anything different if asked that? Sarah Palin had her chance to run, she chose not to. She certainly is not going to demote herself down to run as a VP - people need to get over that. Really.

“Newt Gingrich tells a tele-townhall that Sarah Palin is someone to be considered for the Vice Presidency or Energy Secretary.

Caller: If you’re fortunate enough to be nominated, would you consider having Sarah Palin as your running mate?”

One more time for the clueless posters in this thread. The caller asked him about Sarah Palin. Newt responded to the question. I feel Newt gave a truthful answer and it shows his thinking process. I like it. GO NEWT!

This is almost a joke. You really think he's even considering her?? Well, maybe for 30 seconds.

He's just being kind and "positve". What kind of response did they expect. Newt's response is a "duh".

I think she’d be a great Energy Secretary but it would not last long. All of the cabinet RINO’s would complain she was stealing the spotlight and they would seek someway through leaks etc. to try to undermine her.

Sarah Palin was made radioactive by the Liberal Media. Same with Newt and all the other candidates except Mitt....until he gets the nomination. Obama will chew Mitt up and spit him out before, during and after a debate.

Newt’s VP? Not a chance. The press and Soros’ henchmen went after her and her entire family like bloodhounds trying to tree a possum. Sarah Palin was targeted for destruction by the left and the media for being entirely too Pro-American, Pro-Life, Pro-Christ, Pro traditional family and Pro-Capitalist. These qualities threaten the very fabric of leftism in America and the World today. It wasn’t enough for them to just defeat her - it was also imperative for them to hound her out of the Governor’s office of Alaska... a job she was perfect for. They sent literally hundreds of lawyers just to dream up charges against her and a lecherous, lying con artist of a writer to live next door to her family home. They even tried to burn her church down. I’ll be honest here, the treatment of Sarah Palin by the progs/press was (is) a stain on the American political system that will never, ever wash off. JMHO.
