Newt Gingrich tells a tele-townhall that Sarah Palin is someone to be considered for the Vice Presidency or Energy Secretary.
Caller: If youre fortunate enough to be nominated, would you consider having Sarah Palin as your running mate?
Gingrich: She is certainly one of the people you would look at. I am a great admirer of hers and she was a remarkable reform governor of Alaska, shes somebody who I think brings a great deal to the possibility of helping in government and that would be one of the possibilities.

Never happen. I’m a Newt and Palin supporter, but Newt’s just trawling (trolling) here. -:)
Sandwiches, spaghetti... she is the total package.
There might even be snacks that we don’t yet know about
that she could serve. I wouldn’t even put nachos past her.
For such times as these..
Freddie Newt must be desperate to get Palin’s endorsement.
I don’t think she will give it to the corrupt, pompous, DC Hack of Freddie Mac.
If he’s sincere and not just prostituting himself for votes...
+1.
Simple idea which would win the Whitehouse.
Seriesly.
It really is that simple.
Wow, newt is pulling every trick in the book. first crying, now playing the palin card.
This is bullspit. Newt didn’t “float” it, the caller did.
Agreed. Playing with fire too. IF he were elected, and IF he put her in some sort of cabinet position, that would be great. Right now, he needs to win this on his own and with his own ideas and persuasion - including backing off of some things from the past few years.
I don’t think Newt would do this do you? :-)
I might share your suspicious, except that Newt gave a fabulous defense of Palin to Ron Allen of NBC at the 08 convention. I mean he praised her up one side and down the other and scorched the media for even questioning her experience. It was fabulous.
It’s been on FR recently. Google Newt Ron Allen Sarah Palin and I’m sure you’ll like it. Whether or not you like Newt or Palin its must see TV for anyone who dislikes NBC.
Fredie Newt didn’t bring it up, the caller did. All Newt did was not rule it out.
You might be right if you had your facts straight, but you don’t. The caller played the “Palin card” not the Newt.
ROFLOL, desperation and grasping at straws meet.
It’s not going to happen.
Or, you could watch this from 2008 and know that Newt’s admiration for Palin is genuine and has been going on for many years:

He first talks about Palin at about 1:43, but the good stuff is around the 2 minute mark. The best part is right near the 2:30 mark til the end.
Since Palin would not compete for the top spot, one she most likely would have won, why would she consider #2 again?
As someone else posted, she’s too busy making money.
She had to put up with one big ego on the 2008 ticket. I doubt she would consider being on a ticket as the #2 for another one.
Wow. Very disappointing to have RCP tell such a blatant falsehood on their site. How can they print “Newt floats...” when clearly the caller floated the idea? This is the same thing they did to him when they said he would jail judges “he disagreed with.”
Not really, Newt has to say something when asked such a question........it's called "Political Speak".......
whether he’s trolling or trawling, I can’t think of another candidate who would say her name out loud with superlatives attached the way he did... they wouldn’t want the media backlash... they all have said very tepid generic things about Palin... Newt out and out praises her... for the record, I support Newt :)
