Newt Gingrich was been Slandered and Lied about regarding his position on Amnesty and Illegal Immigration.
These persons include such "honorable" types such as Dr. Winkie (Ron Paul) and Mitt "I Love Gay Rights" Romney.
America's "Illegal Immigration Crisis" is a sterling example of such ridiculous lies against Newt Gingrich ...
It is a "Blatant Lie" to accuse Newt Gingrich of endorsing Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants. Period.
This Free Republic post responds (with the Truth) against those lies, to set the record straight, and help my fellow American Tea Party members) who are sick and tired of being horribly lied to by the GOP RINO Elite.
As a serious student of history ... I see that Newt Gingrich has emerged ... frankly like Winston Churchill ... as the candidate to return America back to a Constitutional Republic again (including prayers in public schools), not JUST merely defeat the "Marxist-Socialist Barrack Obama".

I would begin by CRIMINALIZING the hiring of Illegals ... under Federal Law (ouch !) to make it painful for American business owners to "virtually enslave" these Illegals ...
A practice that I have PERSONALLY observed (here in Florida) are business owners that hire Illegals ... pay them peanuts ... psychologically abuse them ... treat them as "urban serfs" ...
These "despicable" business owners are the ONLY REASON THAT THE ILLEGALS are even here .... all for the $$$ money $$$ ...

Dr. Winkie and AquaNet don’t have any room to talk about anyone else’s position on immigration. Both might as well call for wide open borders (at that, I am holding off on posting some interesting stuff on Dr. Winkie’s illegal immigration positions until close to the Iowa caucus that is pretty damning to those who care about the issue).
(side note, I wouldn’t get too uptight over Cinco de Mayo, it is just a holiday created by a beer company and the event it is celebrating is as much about the US as Mexico as we helped her repel France. It is actually not widely celebrated in Mexico).

Mathematically it really isn't possible that quickly without greatly increasing the size and power of the Fed far beyond what anyone here will accept (or should accept). However, we need to seal that border first and that means saying hell no to a certain doctor who thinks a border fence would just 'keep American's in' and magic underwear boy who thinks it isn't needed.

Declare the ones who are without a criminal record here in the States legal. But they must go to the back of the line for citizenship. Those with criminal records will be required to leave.
No Amnesty! They must pay a fine for fraudulent documents, stealing ID's, and such. Say make 'em pay $500.00.
Close the borders to Illegals.
In the future employers will be dealt with harshly if they hire an ILLEGAL. Don't worry about past violations of the laws.

I believe that that is Newt's, et al. tough no-amnesty, no-nonsense plan to end the problem of ILLEGAL aliens.
How about American citizens serving time in prison for the same criminal violations (fraud, ID theft, etc.)? Can they get out of prison for $500.00?

Do you honestly believe our courts will uphold any law that states that people who came here illegally and have been pardoned can never be citizens? Newt knows that but (as the smartest person in the room), he believes he can outsmart the rest of us.
If Newt's immigration slight of hand goes through, a border fence won't matter because if 11 - 20 million illegals become citizens, there will be an open door via chain immigration. I will vote for any Republican against Obama, but will do so under duress if Mitt or Newt is the candidate.

You just laid out what is, by definition, amnesty. Amnesty does not mean they automatically become citizens. Amnesty means they do not have to answer for their crimes, they are pardoned, they are given amnesty.
This is exactly what Gingrich proposes and it is, by definition, amnesty.
It should also be mentioned that advocates of amnesty should not be taken seriously if they claim to be also in favor of tougher border control. It is simply not credible that advocates of amnesty will be reliably tough on controlling the borders.
