NBC12 is reporting that only 4 to 6K of the 11,911 signatures are valid. This stinks so bad! Do they have numbers or not?!! This entire breaking story has been all innuendo and headlines with no solid numbers. I am to believe that a guy who has served 4 consecutive terms in Texas missed the mark by 50% or MORE? Is it 4k or is it 6K? WTF?
I think you might have misconstrued the meaning...
A GOP activist who witnessed the count said that it became very clear that the Perry campaign, which reported to the Virginia Board of elections that it had gathered 11,911 signatures, did not come anywhere near that number. This source said Perry’s campaign may have submitted somewhere between 4-6 thousand qualified signatures.
That suggests that there was a difference it what the Perry campain reported (11,911) and what they actually submitted. IOW's there were never 11,911 signatures submitted by Perry.

No, this un named source is claiming that only 4-6K of the submitted 11,991 signatures are valid.

Gee could they narrow it down?
