I remember watching a brokered convention when I was a kid. It was interesting to watch.
This would only be possible if no one dropped out of the race, when we all know that Bachmann and Santorum will be gone soon, followed by Perry after his South Carolina loss.
As which point it will basically be a two man race between Romney and Gingrich with Ron Paul pretending he can win with his 10% support for awhile.
And in a two man race, Gingrich is ahead of Romney by a whopping 20 points
RE: I remember watching a brokered convention when I was a kid. It was interesting to watch.
When was that?
Defeat is not an option, there will be no hoisting of white flags!
The Voldemort of electoral death-eating GOP cowards.
“As much as the process stinks, it gets all (most) of the surprises out before the general election.”
BUT, only against our guys (remember Obee’s many surprises - which have YET to be completely revealed).
And you just had to spoil it.
“Here we go again not one vote has been cast yet, and the crepe hangers are going at it already.”
The base is bolting from the grasp of the nomenklatura. The nomenklatura simply wish to impose their nominee on the grounds that the contest will be *gasp* CONTESTED!
Just more detachment from principles and an open fight with a possible upset for little Lord Fauntleroy.
“The pick of Romney will be the death of the GOP and then the death of us all.”
The first part is correct, the second isn’t.
All good points, and why the East coast empty suits, empty heads and dead souls are in a panic mode to somehow, someway derail what looks like is shaping up.
