Many Democrats are giddy about a recent proposal by Florida’s Republican leadership to drastically change the boundaries defining Congressional District 22, now represented by the high profile Republican Congressman, Allen West.
But the decision has left some in the Republican Party scratching their heads.
Broward Republican Executive Committee Vice Chairwoman Colleen Stolberg has sharply criticized the Reapportionment Committee proposal to change District 22 boundaries in a way that would jeopardize West’s chances for re-election.

This is what I hate about the House seats. They are not supposed to be gerrymandered. Both sides do this. Allen West should win the seat because he did a good job and is able to show all voters this. Why do we want Allen West to win because it is easy. Democrats do this and I hate it too. cut the states in perfect squares and let the candidates have to work for reelection. Some candidates don’t even campaign anymore because they don’t have too. That is wrong and why we are in the mess we are in.
Gotta reign in those Teapartyers, especially if he is a freeper...
West voted to have the military arrest US Citizens. I have lost faith in the GOP also.
GOP Establishment = Democrat lite. They would rather loose than have a conservative or TEA party type that doesn’t fall in line.
Get in line with the “heads we win” / “tails you lose” party or you’re out.

Save Allen West. . .from his own party. I guess he’s just not Scott Brown/Olympia Snowe enough? The choice between Reps and Dems is like the choice of being pushed off 18th floor of a building instead of the 20th.
If anyone was thinking of sending a donation to the 18th floor party, put it towards prepping instead. Maybe I’m deluding myself thinking my prepping is going to pay off but it’s not near as delusional as thinking the GOP is going to save us from anything.
The Democrats always run to the courts to force their agenda on taxpayers who have voted against them. The liberal judges that Democrats appoint then give the Democrats whatever they want. It’s a great system, paid for by Republican taxpayers who are too stupid to wake up and smell the coffee.
Newt is right on one thing. The liberal courts in this country are killing the USA.
This is the work of the RINOs in Florida. From what I’ve heard, they have tried to do the same thing in Texas. It would serve the whole party right if Allan West decided to run for the Senate instead of the House seat they are redistricting away.
I will never again vote for a RINO for any reason because this is exactly what you get every single time.
Come the General Election, you probably have a choice of one Mitt Romney or one Newt Gingrich in the Republican section. Both are,in my opinion,both are Big Government Establishment men. The term”RINO” could also be applied to both. Newt is just better at disguising his than Mitt.
I could not agree with you more. It’s a choice of column “A” RINO or column “B” RINO. In either case you get a heapin’ helpin’ of establishment, big government, beltway RINO.
