You may be right.. I supported Perry until I heard him in the debates. I like almost all his positions, but I fear he can’t win because he can’t talk his way out of a paper bag.

I would rather a Christie or Jeb before Romney or Newt any day. They would not be my first choice, Paul Ryan would.

I’m so tired of this naysaying! I would take anyone(excluding the wackjob) over Obama. I frankly am impressed by the integrity and character of all the candidates. My dilemna is to choose the best of the best. There is more conservatism in the little finger of the weakest candidate than anyone the demon rats have.

“Marco’s status is the same as that of Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama, who is NOT a Natural Born Citizen.”

Neither is Panama Juan McCain. He was born in Colon, Rep of Panama. This makes him a dual citizen.

“The only possible names I can come up with are Marco Rubio...”

I suggest you do a little homework (reading).

Parents were NOT US Citizens at the time of his birth (Does NOT meet the Jus Sanguinis Requirement) Marco Rubio is NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. Marco's status is the same as that of Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama, who is NOT a Natural Born Citizen.

Well, the courts that have addressed these claims with respect to Obama don't agree with you, and there hasn't been an outcry from the elected branches of government either. So either you are wrong, or you are right but the entities entrusted by our Constitution to make these determinations disagree with you.

Whichever it is, the practical result is the same. Obama has been President for nearly three years, and if Rubio chooses to run, claims of not being a "natural born citizen" are going to fall on the same deaf ears.

Like it or not, you've lost this argument.

Wrong. It has not been addressed.

Romney and Obama are NOT ELIGIBLE.

Moot is DNC-designed to make ineligibility

Brokered Convention = Mitt Romney. All you would be doing is ensuring the northeastern elitist GOP establishment gets the final say.

I think if we go to the convention, we get Mitt.

I think Perry might make a comeback before we are done.

On most issues he’s good. His attitude is fantastic. If he keeps on giving mistake free debate performances, he’ll be back, I think.

If we get the convention and Mitt has say 30% of the delegates, the RINOs can be swayed by some TeaParty noise into dumping Mitt. If they don’t listen, kiss the Republican Party goodbye for a decade at least.

TeaPartiers are not like the union toadies in the Dem Party. They will not just march to the Republican tune like lemmings. If the establishment Republican elite does not realize that, they are dumber than I thought.

"Marco Rubio is NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN."

I'm sure that Rubio cries himself to sleep every night when he contemplates the number of potential voters who are fired up about the historical definition of an NBC.

A brokered convention would be about as likely to nominate Sarah Palin as it would Pee Wee Herman.

Just who do you think the "brokers" are??

"There is more conservatism in the little finger of the weakest candidate than anyone the demon rats have."

There's more conservatism on FR than the entire presently elected populist together and yet there less than .001 % qualified to be President of the United States

milwguy,
I wouldn’t give you a bucket of spit for the entire lot of announced Repuublicans.
Real conservative or go fish.
I’m hoping for it to go to the convention where a REAL conservative and govt. cutter becomes the chosen one.
And pigs will fly over the moon next saturday.

“Paul Ryan is my choice. No east coast RINO will do. Ryan/Rubio would be a formidable ticket. Ryan would school Obama on economic issues in the debates and Rubio would make Biden look like the buffoon he is in their debate.”

It’s the dream ticket, milwguy. But both have said definitively that they aren’t running. Maybe we have to look ahead to 2016 and hope that by then, the country(and the GOP) has come to it’s senses.

Sometimes the moment choses you. The country may not be able to wait till 2016, and I think Ryan could very well be swayed by that type of argument.

I’ll vote for the candidate that represents my values. If enough voters did that the Pols would be dancing to our tune rather than telling us what to do.
