That's what I've been thinking. I'd be inclined to put him on top in 2012 -- although only because the ticket would be more palatable to more voters that way. In fact Palin would make the better President, IMO. But the way things have gone, she'd get skewered in the top slot, this go-round. Four years as Veep will hone her skills and she'll be doing great things as the no-nonsense uncompromising voice of the administration.

Newt/Palin 2012 would work, and then Palin would get her shot at the top either in 2016 (if Newt didn't want to continue), or 2020 if he did.

I would go for that, but she wouldn’t take the second spot.
