It may take Chinese tanks to bring about change in NoKo. They certainly will be watching things very closely.

This suggests to me that the US believes N. Korea’s military command and control is intact despite Kim Jong Il’s death, at least for the moment anyway -
White House says it has no new concerns about North Korea’s nuclear arsenal as result of Kim Jong-il’s death - @Reuters

The wailing begins as N. Koreans mourn Kim as they did his father. Some of this is very real I understand, but also if they do not mourn it's considered treasonous so that's also considered........When his father died people actually died from over grieving...so ...hard to tell what's real and not. At any rate it's cultish no matter how one looks at it.

I hear strains of Oklahoma playing:
Poor Jong is dead
Poor Jong is dead
....
His fingernails have never been so clean
....
Well, they called him a no good ornery pollcat
....
The daisies in the dell
Now give off a different smell

Lets put it this way. "Cultist" for in KWP leadership ranks in Pyongyang for those privileged to be in his inner circle, such as Comrade Ri who made the announcement on TV in full black chima-chogori national dress, sobbing and weeping (i.e. the 10% of the 1%), and then as you move down the ladder, less sincere. I think once you get out to the dirt farmer in Pyongang Province, the tears will be mostly faked, if at all. Once they are told to disperse, they will probably go back home and go forward (searching for tree bark) as the death of KJI is no sweat off their backs. In some instances, it is CLEARLY staged by professional North Korean dancing troupe actresses, as I have seen some of them in other capacities. They are faking the tears and the anguish right on cue.
This man was not particularly loved by the people, at the heart of it, only feared. The the FATHER. Now THERE was a man who, ironically, was both LOVED AND FEARED. Hence the subtle difference in the outpouring between KIS and KJI's deaths and mourning periods. One thing is sure, I think the Boy-King will be forced to "prove" himself over something in the next several months. Whether that is a naval provocation, or a purge of some sort to show who's boss, keep an eye on that little bastard.
And SHAME on Hilary Clinton and her comment today about this, more on that, I might make it a stand-alone vanity. Stupid thing to say at a time like that, would never have heard that kind of talk out of the Reagan State Department, nor GWB for that matter. These people (both in D.C. and Pyongyang) are PURE EVIL if you ask me.

Pyongyang State TV Announcer-drone Comrade Ms. Ree (68 years old, a year shy of the Chia Pet) will no doubt be on tonight (Tuesday here in Asia now) as well.
Her female counterpart on the Korean Central Radio Broadcast (657khz) last night was going totally bonkers. I would say "excellent acting", or somebody needs serious professional couch time. It sounded like she was on the verge of slitting her wrists over the demise of the short fat, little dong-ed One. She was experiencing bursts of sobbing as she read the top national news at 9 p.m., and later, they re aired it on Radio Pyongyang this a.m. at 8 a.m. local Pyongyang. Classic radio. What an odd place on earth.
