They want someone who will continue the slide toward a one world govt.
They are “endorsing” him as the stawman for their guy Barack
It looks like it will be Romeny all the way, I don’t care. He’ll beat Ozero.
Big bloody deal - they endorsed Obama in 2008.
Which indicates they think Romney cannot and/or should not beat him.
Yeah! I’m hoping for a Romney/Rubio ticket!
So what?
fuggum
I have no use for Romney, but he would be light years better than a second term of Zero.
Obama will carry Iowa again, unless Grassley really starts a fire with Fast and Furious.
A “newspaper” endorsed a RINO??? I’m absolutely shocked! Of course; I ALWAYS vote for the candidate that the newspaper endorses...they are so much SMARTER than I am.
The Des Moines Registers GOP caucus endorsement: Mitt Romney is best to lead
Boy, what can you say about such a milquetoast endorsement: Romney exhibits sobriety, wisdom and judgment, and then the article goes on to explain what they mean. No excitement there.
However, they call Gingrich "an undisciplined partisan who would alienate, not unite" if he repeats his mean-spirited attacks as he did as House speaker.
Finally, they say that Romney will offer a clear choice vs. Obama if he is the GOP nominee. Sorry Register, not many of us believe it, not for a minute.
Big deal. Republicans who cast their votes vote based on newspaper endorsements are already supporting Romney.
The Media endorses Democrats, and people who Democrats beat or can beat.
Too bad for Mittens
The Des Moines Register is about as liberal/commie as you can get. Right up there with the America hating New York Slimes.
âI know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
—Revelations 3: 15-16
"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."
