The Des Moines Register is about as liberal/commie as you can get. Right up there with the America hating New York Slimes.

I hope Romney will beat Zero if he’s the nominee, but won’t vote for him. I have that luxury since NY will undoubtedly go to 0 anyway,

Haha so IA paper endorses Mitt although Newt leads, and NH paper endorses Newt although Mitt leads. Looks like a wash...

Forget to mention that after the endorsement, the Register review board gives their evaluation of the other candidates except Huntsman who stayed away.

Comments like Rick Perry didn't wear cowboy boots but his "drawl was distinct", Ron Paul who "shouldn’t be written off as a nut, even if some of his ideas are nutty," and Michele Bachmann "an impressive fireball who can absorb and regurgitate tons of information" though some of it can be inaccurate.

"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

See Post #30. The first characters in my post have this strange set of letters. When copying those characters and posting them, they come out like this: “

Does anyone know what is happening?

However, they call Gingrich "an undisciplined partisan who would alienate, not unite" if he repeats his mean-spirited attacks as he did as House speaker.

As Rush would say in a southern vernacular..."Right On! Right On! Right On!

I repeat. I will not have Mitt Romney shoved down my throat by the RINO establishment no matter what form the RINOs take.

Given how so-called "compromise" has done so much damage to this country, and continues to do so, I'd rather have an "undisciplined partisan" fighting for our side than somebody like Romney who will bend over for Democrats. I'm tired of Republicans like John Boehner who act like they can't stand up to Democrats. Compromise means the Democrats screw us.
