I wonder if Perry will mention Tebow after the Broncos get crushed by the Patriots on Sunday.I'm sure Perry is more interested in that amazing team on the Gulf Coast in his own state. ;-)
He'd BETTER be!

"All 535 sitting down would result in zero getting done."
Lock them all in their respective chamber, take away all of their phones, and don't let them out until they approve a balanced budget. (If they have to go to the bathroom hand them a bucket.)

But remember there was no popular vote for senator then.
The Illinois legislature voted, don't know what the make up of the legislature was then. but I can see the argument for Douglas over Lincoln. Douglas was well-known, much better know then a backs wood railroad lawyer with a little bit of state legislature & congressional experience. Douglas was obviously the “safe” choice.

Was hoping Rick would do well, but he’s still BORING. He should have gotten drunk first on tequila.

Visually in a David Bowie kind of way (circa 1980) but rhetorically in a Reagan sort of way.

So far, Newt is the only one who has said anything of substance and of discreet intelligence. Perry is vague and trying to hit on the emotional aspect of Tim Tebow, but that hardly equates into something of political value.

It sounds wonderful, but Obama is no Douglas. We’ll see how things all shape out as the primaries go. Newt has to get past that first.

Wonder what Paul has to say about the new defense bill. He has good points on many issues.

That should NEVER be the question - Who can beat Obama? It should be a given he will be beaten .
And the question should be 'Who is the most experienced to clean up his mess'? 'Who can bring America back from the cliff leading to socialism'?
